Keys of Detoxification

Through years of observation, I have formed many personal conclusions about food. My mentor taught me how to look at the chemistry of nutrition as it relates to the body. I now investigate and explore existing science in this field in order to create food-related hypotheses, which I then attempt to prove throughout the rest of my life.


After observing hundreds of test subjects over the years, it has become extremely clear that when a person of any race, color, creed, denomination, age group, lifestyle, etc., eliminates processed food from their diet, they see immediate improvements in their bodily chemistry. It is amazing to witness this among such a wide test group.Everything I have observed and am willing to discuss is not meant to be judgmental or critical of others; it is merely to help people who are struggling with, or looking to improve, their biological chemistry.


As a vegan, the further away I go from eating any type of animal flesh, meat, or secretion, the more ridiculous it seems to me that, as humans, we choose to eat these foods, and that we have conditioned ourselves to believe that they are not only appetizing, but necessary for our survival. There is absolutely nothing more ridiculous than the assumption that eating meat is required for a healthy diet.


The only thing as comparatively ridiculous is the consumption of semi-edible, synthetic, and processed substances created by people who have zero interest in your health, and who have learned to exploit people with addictions and food ignorance.


All fruits are extraordinary fuel for humans. There are no bad fruits, and I have never met a single person in my life who struggles from fruit consumption. Of course, it is easy to warn a sedentary person who has a horrible, toxic, calorie-laden diet, of the danger of fruit—in that context, fruits and vegetables would just add to their daily caloric pool. The problem in the professional food industry is that people are constantly trying to tailor diets to individuals with extremely poor eating habits; they then try to apply those same dietary concepts to people with a healthy biological chemistry, and those people then become unhealthy.


The longer you eat a plant-based diet, the more you realize that fruit is necessary for energy. Without fruit, a person won’t feel good, especially if they live an active lifestyle.


Fruit is extremely cleansing to a person’s biological chemistry. Because fruit sugar is so easily absorbed and converted into fuel, it allows the body to focus on other tasks, including its own detoxification. Fruit sugar therefore fuels body detoxification. Animal protein, on the other hand, is 50-75% waste material, so your body must work harder to remove the generally nitrogenous byproducts of eating meat. This often also includes the waste material that was in the animal, which must now be removed from your body.


As humans age, it becomes harder for the body to digest cooked greens. Although they may be filling and warming, cooked greens can have a detrimental effect on an aging person’s bones, joints, and muscular system. Cooked greens therefore rob the body of vital force and energy that could be used for healing.


Green juice is the antidote for all of these mistakes.


A chemical fact that many laymen and professionals do not quite understand is that because of the extremely high mineral content in the detoxification process, it is apparent that the minerals in the greens are what are pulling carbonic acid and other toxic compounds from the cells.


Eating a mostly raw diet is not an easy feat to accomplish. It is the ultimate diet, and the most controversial. There are many aspects of it that are difficult to explain or understand without personal experience.


The time the detoxification process takes depends on the individual’s bodily chemistry, and a number of other circumstances. When beginning a raw food diet, a person will often feel worse before they feel better. They may feel like they are making mistakes, when they are in fact cleansing their bodies. If they eat some cooked foods, instead of being completely raw, they create a margin of error. If you are 80% raw, but drink plenty of fresh juice and have a positive attitude, you can be unbelievably healthy and live a supreme life.


I have met scores of people who are new to the nutrition field who have become effective at reading and regurgitating the common knowledge of the time, but frequently that common knowledge is erroneous, or folklore. A true nutritionist must show how far they are willing to take their own body. For instance, I once met a nutritionist who eats meat, but recommends a vegan diet.


People must understand that there is more to healthy eating than simply counting calories. Although the body is a powerhouse when it comes to healing and detoxification, it is each person’s responsibility to ensure that what they eat aids the body in the cleansing, healing, and detoxification processes.


It is best to cook and consume greens early in the day, but fruit can be consumed at any time. Fruit and food combinations are extremely important, and become much more critical when more food is being consumed at once. These combinations are less critical when people eat smaller meals, but proper food combinations should still be followed in order to avoid fermentation, which can lead to inflammation.


I want you to picture your diet as a bridge connecting two pieces of land divided by water. With the right engineering and building materials, the structure can be built stronger and lighter. With poor engineering and heavy building materials, the bridge must be built with extra considerations just to support its own weight, not to mention the weight of the vehicles crossing the bridge. This metaphor is relevant to your diet if you are consuming foods that are extremely resistant to digestion, or require so much work to be converted into energy that you need to eat more of those foods simply for digestion, instead of for their nutrients. Again, one tremendous bodily function is that of healing and detoxification, but the person’s diet must support this.


When people look at their caloric intake, they generally do not take into consideration that the body requires calories just to digest food. They must keep in mind the direct impact that different foods have on the overall immunological system. Certain foods that people consume are simply garbage. Our bodies were never meant to eat processed or synthetic foods, and human bodily chemistry has never adapted to support the waste they create, and the lack of nutrients from these synthetic foods.


People must think of their diets in a way that extends beyond the physical benefits. They must think about diets in terms of how they will affect their moods, emotions, spirituality, and more. The foods you eat should help you realize and understand your place in the universe. Food can have a gigantic impact on our emotional well-being.


For example, growing up in a family which ate together harmoniously on Friday nights, where each member knew they were loved and accepted at the family dinner table, means that even if the foods eaten were full of heavy starches and meat sauces, they may conjure up the same happy feelings when eaten later in life. Those foods, despite being deleterious to one’s health, can have a positive impact on their emotional well-being.


The trick in life is to align that emotional well-being with foods that are healthy not just for the human body, but for the planet, so one can nourish their body while feeling a greater connection to Mother Earth.

Stop Worrying About Fruit Sugar!

It’s time to wake up and learn the facts that have been muddled, befuddled, and cuddled by misconception, misperception, misinterpretation, confusion and abstract science. Some scientists mislead people to believe that fruit sugar is detrimental to human health.


The sugar in an apple, for example, is called fructose. And fructose in a fruit is never bad. The fruit has nutrients you need and energy you want. Nutrients and compounds that fight disease.


If you remove the sugar from the fruit and use it as a sweetener it can be harmful. When you eat the whole food or fresh juice it is beneficial to your health, especially with fighting cancer.

Fruit does not make you sick. Au contraire! When you eat a piece of fruit or drink raw fresh fruit juice, you are helping to detox your chemistry – when you’re especially toxic, fruit can make you feel woozy. This is because it has the power to pull endogenous toxic material from the cells and into the bloodstream for removal.


Fruit is the most easily digested food and the most cleansing of all foods. It has energy and nutrients.

The juice format is unique because the insoluble (unable to dissolve in water) fiber is mostly removed during the juicing process. Not all of it is removed, though, and quite a bit of fiber remains.


Juice is powerful because there is more overall produce present in a single serving, which means more access to the overall nutrients.


The electrical energy of the living produce is an important part of its scientific benefit to our chemistry. Here’s why: the living juice is an enhancement to your living chemistry.

Back to sugar.

Fruit sugar and the sugar in starchy vegetables like beets and carrots are instant perfect energy for human chemistry. This type of sugar does not feed or breed pathogenic cells.


Pathogens feed on the byproducts caused by processed and refined sugars.

Processed sugar and a high protein diet can lead to cancer. Additionally and critically, cancer thrives in a low oxygen environment which is caused by cancer cells a specific oxygen smothering lifestyle that produces high degrees of gases like methane.


A lot of people believe that Otto Warburg said that fruit sugar or sugar in general feeds cancer. He did not teach that. He in fact taught that fermentation causes cancer and people observed incorrectly. When you deprive yourself of oxygen, your cells use other gases to survive and then mutate.


Max Gerson was an epic doctor who lived in the 1920s and 1930s. He had people drinking all kinds of fruit juices. If you go to Gerson Institute, you live mostly on juices with fruit and vegetables every day.


Fred Bisci teaches if you starve yourself of needed fruit and vegetable sugars you give cancer an unfair advantage. You also force yourself to seek calories that resist digestion such as animal protein, heavy amounts of grains, or worse, processed food.


Cancer as an example is adapted to absorb insulin far better than a normal cell. Cancer is a vampire because one of several things it feeds on is healthy blood. Cancer can thrive in the low oxygen environment people create through dietary mistakes.


Fruit and starchy vegetables contain energy that is vital and compounds that help fight off cancer and other illnesses.


It’s really quite simple.
Stop fearing fruit juice from a raw and fresh source. These juices are loaded with vitamins and minerals.
Fruit juice is not bad, it is good. That doesn’t mean you should have 97 bananas every day.
Eliminate processed foods and don’t eat late at night. Reduce or eliminate animal protein – you don’t need that much protein to function. Protein is not a diet solution.
And remember you were meant to consume water plump carbohydrates. That is optimal.

16 Hour Cleanse

This type of fasting in my opinion is relatively easy compared to other lower calorie cleanses that also require you to completely abstain from your daily eating patterns.


This type of “intermittent fasting” means you are eating as you normally would – but during the day only. After 4 p.m., you are no longer eating. This is a powerful approach to an overall healthy eating pattern. In my experience the results of this adjustment will be positively astounding the longer you hold this pattern.


The first benefit of this type of fasting is you have eliminated several common areas where you are most likely making your worst dietary and lifestyle mistakes. Just by leaving out these mistakes, especially after the sun goes down, there will be an immediate improvement in your overall chemistry. The health claim here is: leaving out dietary mistakes and unhealthy eating patterns will lead to better health.


These mistakes are scientifically proven as problems and include – but are not limited to – eating late at night, overeating, and the consumption of wine and spirits and stimulants, especially at dinner time.


It is better for our chemistry to go to sleep with an empty stomach. This takes practice. Especially if you are “emotionally” eating at night time.


Our natural eating and healing patterns are programmed to follow the circadian rhythm*. The optic nerve signals the brain when the sun goes down and the brain signals the hypothalamus gland (which regulates various metabolic processes and responsibilities of the autonomic nervous system) that it is resting time. When you are not digesting food or cleaning up dietary mistakes during the dark period of the day, your chemistry has free reign to heal.


The 16 Hour Fast

Every night when you sleep you are doing a “dry fast” (no water, no food). This sleeping fast has a necessary and positive impact on your chemistry. It is required for the natural process of blood dialysis along with many other detox and healing processes.

 

As explained, after sunset is a critical time to take control over our chemistries and biological healing functions by allowing our systems to focus on cleaning up the mess we normally make within our bodies. Factors like environmental toxins, stress, and diet create this mess. The more time your chemistry has to work on cleaning the mess, the more the mess will be cleaned up. (Results vary dramatically from person to person.)


Since juice requires little to no digestion to absorb nutrients, the water it provides does not interfere but rather amplifies the process. The last part of that statement is an abstract hypothetical postulation on my part. That being said, I’m selling juice, not a dry fast, therefore I encourage people to drink 2-3 juices or similar smoothies from 4 p.m. until bedtime.


People more experienced with this type of fasting will need less juice or smoothies to support the remaining hours of the day they are awake.


Tip:

In the winter I take my evening juices and dilute them with hot water to warm up my body. Sometimes I love or feel the need for smoothies and juice. Juices are fabulous with warm water and they allow me to be sipping juice for a much longer, more comforting period of time. I have been doing this exact program with a few mistakes here and there for 7 months. With all my caloric needs being met during the day, I still lost 15 pounds changing nothing else in diet.


Tip:

Make time during the day to lay flat on your back with your eyes closed. This is another way to stimulate blood detoxification. Go for massages, colonics, visit bathhouses, read good books at night time, do yoga, meditate, pray, listen to soothing music, and practice your best lifestyle goals with the best intentions.


The juices and smoothies are powerful in helping the detox process. However, the claims of what juice can do are secondary to the power of what you are leaving out of your lifestyle pattern. In other words, the body is doing most, if not all, of the work. The juices are raw and electrical forces that summon the body’s own electrical vital forces — vital force is all the energy you have left over concluding your day and digestion. Vital force, if there is enough of it, has a direct positive impact on your immune system and your spiritual system. (This is an abstract philosophy from my own experience.)


Tip:

Drink any kind of juice or smoothie you like. All green, green with some fruits, or mostly fruit juices. This is your unique choice and has no bearing on the effect of this 16 Hour Juice Fast.


 

*A circadian rhythm is a roughly 24-hour cycle in the physiological processes of living beings, including plants, animals, fungi and cyanobacteria. In a strict sense, circadian rhythms are endogenously generated, although they can be modulated by external cues such as sunlight and temperature.

Self Heal

The body forgives you of all mistakes the moment you take your first sip of raw, fresh juice. The body forgives you the moment you eat your first salad, take the first sip of an organic produce smoothie…the moment you stop making the mistakes that inhibit your body’s ability to heal. Forgiveness is not a medical word – but we don’t speak in medical terms. We are not doctors. This claim may seem wild and made by a man who stands to profit if the world converts to his lifestyle. It is not. There is science to my words and there are methods to my “madness.” Let me clarify my first few statements.


For every mistake you leave out of your diet – whether it’s overeating, eating processed foods, eating late at night, or eating too much protein – there’s an immediate improvement in your overall chemistry. The chemistry continues to improve at each meal, each day. Fresh produce is more than nutrients. It is an energy that will help the body “remember.” Each time you drink a juice or eat a salad, you are lengthening the distance from “toxic” foods, and there are many forms of toxic foods. Either the foods themselves are toxic, or they are toxic in the way they are consumed.


I am designing these back pages to try to help my fellow people to achieve optimal health on their own. This is my purpose in life. It always has been in one form or another. To help others find their strength and heal. I am self-righteous. I am driven to a few simple causes. This is one. This is my favorite cause besides the love of my family. Another cause is to honor the earth and protect the animals. What made me this way? It is not important at this time. What is important is that I continue on this path and help others to find their way. I am certain that I am not a master of my own temple. I am also very much engaged in mastering the disciplines of my humanity for the purpose of being better and living as long as possible.


 

I want your food obsessions to be lifted. I want to help you find liberation from processed foods. I want to help you find your way back into your beautiful body.

 

As boy I watched helplessly as my father and sister overate and I felt powerless to help them. These experiences were at the heart of many of my anxieties about my own diet. As a result because of my nature I am the opposite of my family and community and many people in the world.

 

I felt my family’s suffering my entire life and I could never change their eating patterns to bring them the happiness I wished they had. I am sad but grateful in an ironic way that this is a force that drives my desires to help others. I feel a deep calling to help others and it drives me to master myself and absorb knowledge. It is the reason I founded Juice Press. It is the reason I have the partners I have attracted. My primary partner is a great teacher and he is a healer. He is different than me on the surface. His strengths amplify my voice and power. Together we do a lot of good for people.


I have certainly helped my family in more recent years, including my father. He makes small but meaningful changes. My sister Raquel is now vegan. My mother Marilyn feels better when she follows easy steps like leaving out dairy and not eating late at night. I encourage them to do whatever they can to feel better. I lead by example. I do the things I tell others to do.


I can help you step by step. Whether it’s a matter of explaining to you how to switch brands of cigarettes from the very toxic “Menthol Cigarettes,” to a more pure form of tobacco, or more advanced lessons on fasting and cleansing, it’s all the same teachings.


Our physical chemistry is trying to follow a “divine mechanical order” and if we get out of “its” way the process of our healing chemistry is a miraculous physical event.


When I speak of the “divine” I’m speaking of the “creation” of all of the Material world and not the creator.  Our bodies know how to find their way back to a “healed state” (in most cases). The power to carry this out varies from individual to individual because we are all unique bio-chemical machines. Our slightly unique mechanisms and our overall mental and spiritual attitudes play a big part in in our self-healing success.


Medical intervention is often necessary, and when applied at the right time by the right people, is divine as well.

Medicine and science is miraculous as well. It is often misused. Medicine can also block the pathway to recovery and make one more sick than well.


If the body’s natural pathway to recovery is open, a natural healing can take place!

What The Heck Are Superfoods?

The term “superfood” is often misused and overused by individuals in the industry of selling the item they title a superfood.


Yes, the compounds in many superfoods can be scientifically verified critical to our health. Some of these compounds are phytochemicals, flavonoids, antioxidants, and many others that serve enormous value to our existence. But these compounds do not trump or replace the actual nutrients we need and seek when we eat! (These nutrients are carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals).


I separate the nutrients and the secondary compounds into different categories. But also realize that natural, unprocessed, plant-based foods that are nutrient rich usually contain these other compounds in high amounts.


Superfoods devoid of calories cannot support life. They are likened to “accessory foods” by me, not superfoods.


Raw cacao, maca, and goji berries are often the most highly praised “superfoods”. To be clear, these are all plant foods with fabulous compounds. However, you can not live on these alone. So why are they called superfoods and not sub foods? Why aren’t avocados and coconuts classified as superfoods? Because the term is “hokey” and contrived. That’s why. U.N. Peacekeepers are not going to start dropping goji berries or cacao nibs onto battlefields or war-torn third-world countries to feed masses of malnourished populations. Raw fresh coconuts, avocados, peaches, cherries, carrots, apples, pears, kale, and so on are superfoods to me. Maca, Cacao, and Goji are sub-superfoods. This is my new terminology.


I am writing this to help break through the confusion with food. Even the health industry confuses people. So, let’s make it clear that a food that provides little calories does not provide energy. Maca and cacao create stimulation, not energy. There’s a vast difference. The stimulation is not necessarily a terrible thing for some people. But, if you hate speeding up your chemistry you won’t enjoy raw cacao. It won’t feel so super. Speeding up your metabolic functions is not necessarily a health beneficial idea. There is reliable data that indicates that stimulation of any kind will cause an equal and opposite reaction, which is the “crash” from stimulation. You’ll need more stimulation to bring yourself back up. Eventually you’re causing a burden to the body. So, the cleaner you become, the more cautious you have to be of how much of any stimulating “superfood” you consume. I use cacao, coffee beans, goji, maca, cayenne, and others. I still feel the need for stimulation in my diet.


I am writing this essay to keep food educators and retailers transparent. Superfoods are nothing. But they are actually something too. They’re just NOT going to deliver people good health after years of poor dietary and lifestyle habits. Changing the pattern of eating and lifestyle problems will.  There are no magic pills that erase mistakes. The key to health is to eliminate the mistakes. The leading mistake is the consumption of processed foods.


Usually when people buy superfood powders on late night TV they also make smoothies with them and consume the smoothies in place of really bad meals. Therefore, it’s the replacement of bad meals with the innocuous smoothie that allows the body to make progress, not the superfood. In my opinion.


I believe in using superfoods. I use them in my smoothies, but I extend the list of superfoods to foods like kale, spinach, broccoli, chard, dandelion, lemons, all citrus, avocados, coconuts, mango, blueberries, all the berries, all the stone fruits like peaches, and the list goes on.

What are Processed Foods?

If you want to be completely literal, processed food in its simplest form begins with food that you are chewing in your mouth. You are processing it, technically: masticating it and changing it from one form to another.


A blender processes food.

The juice machine processes produce.


But these processes scientifically did not alter the food in a way that transforms it into something toxic or incompatible to human chemistry.


When you chew nuts you’re actually processing them into a pulverized matter that can be swallowed, for if you did not, you would choke on the nuts.


In the case of blending produce or juicing it, it is minimal processing, so the result is not adulterating it or toxifying it.


The next form of processing food (in which the food becomes adulterated) is when food is cooked — specifically, overcooked.



Manipulating temperature literally is alchemy. You can change things in a way that alters them completely and the issue is creating something that is not compatible with human chemistry. Anything that is not compatible with your chemistry essentially is a toxin your body has to work hard to remove.


There are different ways to create toxic food. One way is to cook something at an extraordinarily high temperature for a very long period of time and reduce it down to its basic elemental form where the compounds become concentrated and more difficult for the body to break down. Such is the case with refined sugar: processed and heated sugar.


Salt is a similar compound. When natural (from the sea or from the salt mine), it is a mineral that is vital to human chemistry. When heated, chemistry changes and it becomes adulterated.


Fats, for example, can be extracted from a variety of plants and concentrated, or elements can be added to them that are completely bio-incompatible.


The next level of processed food (or food that had additives to them) what foods that have been stripped from their original easily digested form into something that is more complicated to digest or two simple to digest gets complicated.


When you take wheat and you make it into pasta, you are processing the wheat into something that is very incompatible with human chemistry.


Packaged foods that have an unlimited shelf life are generally filled with things that add to the illusion of freshness: holding in moisture, creating unusual colors, or binding compounds together that would normally not bind.


The list of processed foods begins with processed produce which is sprayed with pesticides and other chemicals or genetically modified produce. Animal proteins generally are highly processed: from what the animals eat, to how they live, to what is put on them to create more desirable colors, and even to preserve the meat.

It is obvious that things like gummy bears and sour worms and Oreo cookies and breakfast cereals are all highly synthetic foods with scientific lab engineered chemicals that are often found nowhere in the natural kingdom.


From this you can begin to compile a list of processed foods, which is virtually everything in our culture. The degree to which something is processed varies from non-toxic to highly toxic. I would say highly toxic foods are fried cheap meats that are fried in soybean or vegetable oils and all of the high-sugar, limitless shelf-life candies, cakes, and pastries. That’s a game of Russian roulette you play by eating them.


Cooking with vegetable oils releases toxic chemicals linked to cancer and other diseases, according to leading scientists, who are now recommending food be fried in olive oil, coconut oil, butter or even lard.
Which I’m totally against but frying in vegetable oils is death!

Best Weight Loss Pattern Change

Over the years people have asked me what are the best weight loss diets to follow. It’s true that if you are in a calorie deficit you will lose material compounds from your body. These compounds weigh something, therefore you will lose weight if you are not replacing material with the material you are using. There is little value in following diet plans that are loaded with high amounts of fats or high amounts of protein. These are short term tricks on your chemistry and will lead to problems. Diets that sell you chemically processed shakes are not the solution. Fasting & juice cleanses are not diets, and their main use should not be weight loss in my opinion . (A juice fast can promote weight loss if you are in a caloric deficit and because one may become more efficient biologically.)


This is technical language. People asking this question about weight loss desire the loss of unwanted external substance. Fat, cellulite and/or other body material. No one has ever asked me how to reduce the size of their eyeballs or lose unwanted pounds from their pancreas, spleen, or lungs. This is silly but worth mentioning.


Losing weight is easy. Stop eating. This is not sustainable. Breatharians and sun gazers die of starvation or damage their retinas. I’ve seen this too. People eat for emotional and psychological reasons, not just sustenance. Thus, people by choice remain at the body weight they choose on a conscious and subconscious level. It is not easy to prescribe a fad diet.


My Tip: If you want to continue consuming exactly what you are consuming now, calories and content, change one pattern: Never eat past sunset. In the summer months you can eat later than in the winter. It’s determined by sunset. Say 5:00pm winter and 7:30pm summer. NO SOLID FOOD after dark. For the first six months do green juices at night if you are hungry. Drink water throughout the night. No food. If you consume alcohol you must cut it off by sunset to follow this program.


In this pattern change you are following the body’s natural circadian rhythm. Which is on a 24 hour clock: work, rest, work, rest. When the sun goes down, the optic nerves signal the hypothalamus gland that it’s time to clean house. Not work. Without a filled stomach you take control over your entire chemistry. The body has free reign to do its healing magic. (Try this program with consent of your doctor, priest, rabbi, whomever you must.) You will see dramatic positive improvements. No doubt this is a very difficult lifestyle adaptation.

 

This is not a health claim about a product for sale. This is my opinion about a pattern change in one’s dietary choices.

Research: Nobel Prize Winner on Fasting

What do these men have in common? Fasting and Cleansing.

It is important we recognize the importance of Yoshinori Ohsumi’s work (read below) which further validates the work of Paavo Arola (who discovered autolysis which is more or less the same science as Autophagy). Yoshinori’s work is critical to the validation of juice fasting and the lifestyle Juice Press promotes. Yoshinori Ohsumi, a cellular biologist from Japan, became a Nobel Prize winner in physiology and medicine “for discovering the mechanisms of autophagy.” The Japanese scientist has scientifically substantiated that fasting is good for one’s health, reports the Komsomolskaya Pravda Russian newspaper.

 

The Nobel Prize Committee’s press release reads:

 

“Ohsumi’s discoveries have led to a new paradigm in our understanding of how a cell processes its contents. His discoveries have opened new ways of understanding the fundamental importance of autophagy for a large number of physiological processes, such as adaptation to starvation and response to an infection.”

 

Autophagy is the process of utilizing and recycling unnecessary or dysfunctional cellular components—the so-called cellular rubbish which accumulates in cells. The term “autophagy” originates from two Greek words which summarily mean “self-eating.” Autophagy is intrinsic to living organisms, including those of human beings. Thanks to autophagy, cells get rid of excess parts, while an organism gets rid of unnecessary cells.

 

Autophagy becomes especially intense when an organism is under stress, for example, when it fasts. In this case a cell produces energy using its internal resources, that is, cellular rubbish, including pathogenic bacteria.

 

The Nobel Prize winner’s discovery indicates that abstaining from food and keeping fasts is wholesome—the body truly cleans itself. This is confirmed by the Nobel Prize Committee.

 

 

According to Ohsumi’s colleagues, autophagy protects organisms from premature senility. This process even probably rejuvenates organisms by creating new cells, removing defective proteins and damaged intracellular organelles from them, thus maintaining them in good condition.

There’s a lot of doom and gloom naysayers that are totally clueless about its powerful effects. They are befuddled by what it is and they have for decades humiliated juice and tried to apply the wrong sciences because they are vested in degrading its potency. —-But do not listen just to me because my intentions are to sell more juice.

It’s hard to believe that in the year 2015/16 magazine writers  still write the dribble they moisten the minds of common people in need of help.

 

The leading questions and concerns today about smoothies and juice are calories, sugar, and fiber. People have not learned to see this simply as food in a liquid format. (most people don’t.) These concerns are a distraction from the fact that juice enables people to leave out dietary mistakes like over eating, eating late at night, bad food combinations, processed foods, and over cooked toxic food. Juice is the great redeemer because it helps us leave out the mistakes. The sugar in raw juice is not the problem in the western world. It’s too much protein and processed foods that are making us sick. NOT FRUIT SUGAR.

 

It’s even harder to believe that “medical people” still talk about juice in a negative way! There are two causes for both of these silly circumstances: (1) utter ignorance on the science of nutrition, down to a molecular level; and (2) a total lack of experience with juicing and observing thousands of people outside of a the clinical experience who all improve their chemistry drinking raw fresh juice.

 

The ignorance is actually understandable because the science is very subtle and the details are hard to collect and disseminate. You have to really combine book smarts with practical experience. It’s very rare that a person gathers a bit of both.

The fact for me is that I have been collecting bits of anecdotal science based on my personal dietary experiences and that of many thousands of people I have been fortunate to observe.

 

Juice is mostly water with a s**t-load of vitamins, minerals and other important compounds like anti-oxidants, flavonoids, and phytochemicals. Even fat. There’s ample trace amounts of fiber in juice (Juice Press juice). It’s all there. You can function at a high level of activity even on low amounts of protein depending on your overall health. If you want more protein drink more protein. It’s available in vegetable juices in good amounts. Moreover, you don’t need to add amino acids to your daily consumption to perform a cleanse. That’s utter nonsense.

 

I theorize that juicing allows the body to obtain a large amount of nutrients and sufficient amounts of calories to maintain and regulate normal body functions (depending on the calories and the amount of activity exerted, this would vary).

 

During a cleanse you don’t drink a martini with dinner. You don’t have a cigar after a five course late night meal. You don’t eat. You’re not eating late. You’re not mis-combining foods. You’re not eating processed foods. No heavy sauces. No white flour. No refined sugars. You’re not overeating. You’re just drinking fluids with all natural fruit or starchy vegetables and leafy greens. However you mix the juice, you’re avoiding all dietary mistakes. That’s how the miracle of cleansing and natural healing takes place. Through what you leave out and from what you then add in.

 

The sugar doesn’t matter within reason, but even within slight excess it just doesn’t matter (test it on a type 2 diabetic and if I’m wrong i’ll gladly donate my own kidney for a transplant). The sugar has the nutrients intact. It’s not heated and concentrated and made into acid.

 

But raw fruit or starchy vegetables have a totally different effect on your chemistry. If you have blood sugar issues and a toxic diet, you won’t do well chugging down a gallon of straight pineapple juice.

Sugar from raw fruit or not-enough-fiber is not the problem in the western fucking diet! It’s processed foods and too much protein!

 

For god’s sake. The science is already here. The master minds of molecular nutrition already write about this in one form or another.

 

On a juice fast or a combination juice and smoothie fast, or add some salad, you are not making mistakes.

 

For every mistake you leave out….there’s an immediate immediate overall improvement in your chemistry. You’re cleansing mistakes and thereby improving your chemistry. (god I’m so mad).

 

The range of reactions people have from fasting on juice are miraculously positive. 99 out of 100 people feel fabulous even on long cleanses.

 

With a more toxic group of people 78 out of 100 people feel fabulous. The rest of the class feels like shit because they have more to detox from. Or there are usually emotional and psychological components involved when people abstain and detox.

 

Detox is a natural process. The only way to help it along is to get out of its way. All of the mistakes I listed above slow down daily detox or impede it completely. I don’t have statistics at hand, but I have never heard of a crack head who cleaned up their chemistry by adding more crack. They clean up by abstaining. Then what happens? The body does its job. It cleans up the mess. If the crack head eats 97 twinkies a day after quitting crack, there can still be improvement up to the point where the twinkies disrupt the body’s natural process. Your ability to detox in your regular life diet and external toxifying circumstances is only as good as your worst dietary or lifestyle mistake.

One thing is for sure: You can always dilute it with water and make it less sweet. Or drink it over many hours if you are concerned about blood sugar level “spikes.”

 

 

Raw, fresh juice is a nutrient powerhouse, is alive, flowing with electricity on a low vibration, and has life giving- life supporting enzymes! Raw fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, sprouts and seeds have all this too.

 

NO MATTER WHAT you are concerned with, raw fresh juice does taste great and therefore you will consume it more often than salads and fruits. If you are drinking juices, you are avoiding dietary mistakes. This is a key factor in why people do so well on juice: your are leaving out the mistakes.

Tip: Dilute Any Juice with h20 to Make it Easier To Drink More

Diluting juice with pure water addresses the following concerns:  1)  concerns about fruit sugar or higher glycemic indexes of fruit juices; 2) needing more hydration from a single juice, people training or traveling; 3) if you have a hard time drinking more concentrated green juices; or 4) if you want to stay warm in the winter even while on a juice fast. Dilute. Dilute.

 

Diluting juice is a very simple method to solve any one of these desires. You can simply add as much water as you want to any juice to extend your hydration time or make it easier to get down a juice you don’t like but feel would benefit your health.

 

Additionally adding warm to hot water to all juices makes them into a “teasana” of fresh juices and hot water. When warmth is paramount, you can raise your body’s ambient temperature using this little known secret.

 

Experiment with carbonated water if you want to add some “fun” to our juices. Experiment!

Honey

Honey is from the nectar of plant and high in vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. It’s a complete food. Meaning if you could get enough of it calorically, you could live off it alone for long time.


There are only 3 kinds of cells: single celled organisms, animal, and plant. Honey is made of plant cells (nectar) regurgitated from the bee. When you consume honey you are not taking the life of animal.


A concern of some ‘purist’ vegans is the ethical treatment of the bees. This is an important issue not to be discarded. All animals demand our humane treatment. However, this is a separate issue from exactly what honey is on a molecular level. Fred Bisci, our food mentor, has been a truly raw and compassionate vegan for 50 plus years uses raw honey and so does the founder of Juice Press.

What are the benefits of juice?

This is a rather odd essay written by me late at night, deep into a long juice cleanse. Most of what my partners and I are trying to do centers around building a real business model that can be sustainable and scalable, while holding to the original dream of the first store. I loved juice and smoothies and salads. I wanted to eat and drink this stuff every day of my life and I never get bored of doing so. My partners and their families honestly feel the same way. It’s all we talk about. Juice Press. Juice Press.

 

What I do a poor job talking about is the hippie tree-hugging part of this equation for fear of being laughed out of my position as CEO. From time to time, I find these hidden places to write these types of commentary to whomever will listen. So I am grateful you landed on this page.

 

What is juice? It is something special and powerful. When it is raw and handled the way we at Juice Press handle it, it has awesome power. Juice like this has an abstract but real electrical force because all living things have an electrical force, albeit lower than normally detectable.  The frequency that juice vibrates at is so high that even when you are not aware of its presence, when you consume it, it adds to your own vibrational frequency and your vital force. Vital Force. Great term. Doctors have yet to even discover this term. It’s so abstract. Vital Force has a direct impact on your entire immunological system. It is the energy you have stored and left over from the foods you consume minus all of the energy you exert or burn. The remaining energy is Vital Force and it is used by your body to enhance your immune system. It is not a scientific term at all.

 

Juice is so powerful that only the juice devotee can feel it and talk about in the way I am. Drinking juice after the gym, before the gym, when you have a cold, when you’re in mourning, when you’re in trying to fall in love, when you’re trying to pick the winning horse, feeling anxious, feeling joyous, and so on, will raise your consciousness to a higher level. It’s impossible to describe or prove unless you have a clean diet and experience juice the way it is possible. I am a full believer.

 

There is nothing ever negative about juice. Not the lack of fiber because there is fiber, not the sugar, because the sugar is awesome for all chemistries, not anything. People think I am crazy because I am conflicting against traditional paradigms when I talk about fiber and sugar. People simply do not understand raw sugar v.s. candy and soda sugar. Its not all the same. Doctor so-and-so is ill-informed and he or she does not see problems with his worst patients due to them eating too many apples and pears.

 

Anyway, what you need to know is you should drink juice when you have splinter or when you’re lost and want to be found. Drink juice all the time. As much as you can stomach and as much as you can afford. (Please don’t shop lift for juice.)

 

introducing antioxidant rich, anti-inflammatory raw green juices into our diet as an everyday habit is a fabulous antidote to the toxins we encounter. green juices neutralize acids and all raw juices make it easier to maintain blood alkalization. the main benefit of drinking raw juice is that if it helps us skip one or more crappy meals a day, we’re 1,000 times better off!

obviously, we recommend drinking as much green juice as possible each and every day. drinking juice and maintaining a sensible diet that excludes processed food is a step in the right direction towards optimal health.

while many of juice’s nutritional benefits are readily displayed on the nutrition facts panel, all juices provide value beyond what is visible on the label. 100% juice is an ample source of phytonutrients (compounds in fruits, vegetables, and other plants that can help promote overall health). although this benefit is not listed on the label, there is strong scientific support for the role fruits and vegetables play in reducing disease risk overall.

additionally, research shows that drinking 100% juice is associated with a more nutritious diet overall. studies suggest that appropriate consumption of 100% juice is linked to an overall healthier eating pattern, including reduced intake of total dietary fat, saturated fat, and added sugars. green juices have awesome and dynamic cleansing power.

green juice floods the body with nutrients, phytochemicals and the word of the day: folic acid. folic acid (also known as folate, vitamin m, vitamin b9, vitamin bc (or folacin), pteroyl-l-glutamic acid, and pteroyl-l-glutamate) is a form of the water-soluble vitamin b9. green juices also have cholorophyll, which promotes cleansing along with offering a host of other health promoting benefits, around which there are research studies ongoing.

 

is fruit sugar bad?

first, we do not add any sweeteners to our cold pressed juices. ever. some blended smoothies have raw sweeteners – no processed or refined sugars are used in anything we make. this is one of my tenets of eating: nothing processed or refined.


 

second, if you are extremely concerned about your sugar intake from raw fruit, we have offerings for everyone at juice press! we have super green juices, salads, green smoothies, a little bit of this and a little bit of that. if you are ordering a smoothie, customize it as you like. more or less of anything is ok with us!


if you avoid fruits because you are needlessly afraid of their sugars, you are avoiding their vitamins and antioxidants as well. vital nutrients that are not readily available from any other sources.


people are sick because of the processed garbage and the high protein diets that they consume, not because of fruits and starchy vegetables. if you have a toxic diet and eat tons of fruit, the fruit may be adding to your problem, but only in the context of the crappy diet.


fruit in both the juice format and the solid or blended format is extremely cleansing to all aspects of the body where cleansing (detoxification) is required.


fruit does not “spike” sugar levels. fruit raises sugar levels but the blood sugar levels off quickly for most people including type 2 diabetics.


the smoothies we make in store can be made with a variety of sweeteners we keep on hand or no sweetener at all. the bottled smoothies have small amounts of one of our selected raw sweeteners.


we offer several options from raw agave to coconut nectar and whole dates in store on made to order smoothies.


there is no comparison to the sugar in soda for example, and the effects that it has on your chemistry with the grams of sugar that occur in say raw pineapple juice.


pineapple juice has amazing atomic elements and nutrients. the same holds true for the juices of starchy vegetable like carrots and beets.


if you avoid raw fruit and vegetables for fear of sugars, where will you get your vitamins and minerals from? antioxidants? a bagel? frozen vomit-yogurt? no.


sugar occurs naturally in fruit and is vital part of muscular strength and energy.
fruit is a vital source of vitamins.

 

it is very important to make the distinction between added sugars and sugars that occur naturally in foods like fruits and vegetables. these are healthy foods that contain water, fiber, and various micronutrients. the naturally occurring sugars are absolutely fine, even necessary.

 

however, added sugars are a cause for concern.

 

the most common added sugars are regular table sugar (sucrose) and high fructose corn syrup. if you want to lose weight and optimize your health, then you should do your best to avoid foods that contain added sugars.
raw fruit sugar, even in raw juice, is not the problem for most people. processed foods, processed sugars, and too much protein are the problems.

 

the sugar issue is one that has many people confused. juice press does not add any sugar of any kind to our juices. no sugar is added, not even raw, unprocessed sugar. fruit and vegetables contain natural sugar. this sugar is a vital source of energy for most people.

 

 

if you drink a fruit juice or carrot juice, you are consuming sugar. this kind of sugar has not been isolated from the companion nutrients contained within the fruits or vegetables. it has a positive effect on your chemistry. although there is a glycemic index associated with fruit, the companion nutrients stabilize the sugars so insulin levels are balanced in the bloodstream.

 

 

juice press stands behind the paradigm that raw fruit juice and vegetable juice are incredibly beneficial because they work their way into the bloodstream so quickly. it’s instant energy. both fruit and vegetable juice are alkalizing.

 

isolated and processed sugars and artificial sugars are the curse of modern man. they are rank poison and they are slowly killing us. there is no comparison between fruit and vegetable sugar and sugar from soda or anything else with isolated, processed sugar.

 

no one can prescribe a specific amount of sugar from raw fruit and vegetables that is ideal. no two chemistries are in the same place at the same time and not everyone will do well with consumption of large amounts of fruit and/or fruit juice.

 

most people who increase their consumption of raw juice and reduce their intake of processed foods do very well and have incredible improvements to their overall chemistries.

 

juice press does not prescribe or diagnose illnesses, nor are we recommending that you deviate from the diet plan recommended by a medical person or a licensed nutritionist.

 

fruit sugar does not spike the blood sugar levels of a healthy person. it raises it. your chemistry adjusts and brings it back down to where it needs it to be.
toxic people may feel like hitting the bathroom soon after drinking a raw fruit juice. this is a cleansing side effect.

 

people with blood sugar problems may want to consume only fruit juice that has plenty of green juice in it. the glycemic index will be lowered.

 

we are presenting our belief on raw sugar from fruits and vegetables. our cold pressed juice made from this produce is not sweetened. our desserts, raw food, and superfood smoothies may be sweetened with raw agave nectar or other raw organic sweeteners.

 

people have unique chemistries and no one should say that fruit sugar is good for everyone. there are many sides to the story of individual chemistries. i am not implying that people should go out and drink a gallon of orange juice. i’m also not saying that fiber is something to be avoided in general. you need fiber. the more digestive resistant your foods are (e.g. flesh foods), the more fiber you need.

 

many doctors take an opposite position because of the way they are programmed. there is plenty of science that proves the awesome and dynamic power of juice.

 

a february 2014 details article poorly quotes bad science when it compares gram-for-gram the raw, fresh fruit sugar in juice to the highly toxic, processed sugar in a snickers bar.

 

this is such a common and ridiculous mistake that it serves only to prove that the individuals making the comments have an utter lack of experience with treating people with juices as well as a lack of personal experience with juice in their own diets. traditional nutrition has brainwashed its students to promote diets based on high protein, calories in or out, etc.

 

if a comparison should be made, compare a snickers bar to an apple. this is a better comparison because they are both concentrated foods. compare coca cola to fruit juice—that’s more realistic. never a snickers to juice. the comparisons in both cases have many flaws.

 

regardless of the sugar, soda is toxic and a pure acid that can take the paint off a car. take a glass of fresh juice as it relates to your chemistry and it leaves behind an amazing alkaline ash in the bloodstream, which reduces inflammation in the body. this is the awesome power of juice. in most people’s chemistry, the sugars in raw, fresh juice are immaterial.

 

sugar (raw, unprocessed, naturally occurring sugar) affects everyone differently. if a person’s blood sugar bounces up and down, they’re going to feel much, much worse overall if they consume highly processed foods with processed sugars than if that same person drinks fresh, raw fruit juices with more grams of sugar (moderation is still key for that person).

 

if that same person mixes more green juices in with the fruit juice—say 1:1, they’ll feel fabulous. fruit juices diluted 1:1 in water also allow even the most toxic people to make amazing progress in their overall chemistry. unless they’re über-toxic, the symptoms they feel relate to detoxing and not to illness.

 

soda can dissolve a seashell if left to soak for several days. theoretically, you would have to drink about 80 glasses of water to alkalize yourself after drinking this garbage. the person eating processed garbage never makes progress unless he’s taking lots of medicine, and even then it’s short lived.

 

soda, and its sugar, is terribly acidic and promotes inflammation. inflammation, the precursor to most illness, is a big, big problem.

 

on the other hand fruit juice, and its sugar, is very alkalizing because of its vitamins and minerals. even citric acid, as it relates to the digestive alkalies, converts to neutral salts. this is simple science.

I’ve been juicing for 20 years and have spent the last 10 diving as deep as possible into all aspects of nutrition.
A lot of people ask about the following topics on vegetable vs fruit.

The green juices come from vegetables, which are higher in mineral content and also contain different and often similar compounds that are beneficial to human chemistry.

Generally the greens are lower in calories and therefore provide less energy.

The fruit juices are critical but only if they are raw. The molecular structure changes if the juices are heated. Fruits have vitamins, antioxidants, phytochemicals, and other important compounds including fiber, though in smaller amounts in a juice format than in the whole fruit.

Both can easily be combined together in juice format. This is not the case in solid whole forms. In whole form some fruits and vegetables are better not combined to aid digestion.

For glycemic index concerns one could easily dilute fruit juices with water to lower the glycemic index or mix with equal parts green juices.

One of the cleansing benefits of raw juices is the rapid introduction into the bloodstream, which is contrary to what some “experts” believe. This is due to the lack of digestion required to absorb the nutrients; the body maintains total control for other processes. This can be observed in very sickly people healing. How awesome and beneficial the juices are in not interrupting their healing processes.

Like water, raw juices do not stay in the stomach long enough to have their ph balances lowered enough to effect their alkalizing power. They enter into the bloodstream and leave behind a neutral ph balance.

Raw juices, when broken down into their respective molecular composition, enable the removal of carbonic acid from the cells. Carbon acid is the byproduct of cellular metabolism and is a critical element to remove from the cell and out through the normal waste removal system. @juicepress #healthyfood #juicing

Sea Salt Vs. Table Salt

Table salt is a highly processed food ingredient that either comes from the sea or salt mines.  Table salt is then refined and heated at very high temperatures which alters the molecular structure so that it is no longer compatible with human physiology.  The temperatures can be so high in the processing that it could negatively affect the mineral content, which is one of the vital reasons you need salt in your diet to begin with.

When you add iodine to salt, it is generally a lower grade iodine, which does not absorb as effectively as the naturally occurring iodine in plant based foods.

Sea salt is a high quality mineral that actually helps regulate blood pressure, and just like processed sugar and naturally occurring sugar from fruit, sea salt should never be compared to table salt.

should I be counting calories?

with real, plant-based food, the body is more efficient in utilizing calories, whereas with processed foods and protein heavy diets, even with lower calorie intake, one will gain weight, always be hungry and will generally toxify the body.

because good nutrition is more than just calories, it’s important to look at the whole picture when assessing the value of a food or beverage. we feel it’s a catastrophic blunder to blindly pursue calorie counting. if your diet consists primarily of processed foods, it is not calories that are preventing you from achieving optimal health.
the primary goal should be the restriction of processed foods. you cannot cause obesity and illness in a healthy and clean body that is consuming a diet consisting of vegetation in the form of fruits, vegetable, nuts, sprouts, and seeds. the clean body uses calories efficiently. the clean body stops eating when full. very few food addicts binge on vegetables. they generally reach for stimulating foods such as refined starchy carbs, over-cooked dead food, fried saturated fat, concentrated protein, as well as outright poisons such as processed salt, refined sugar, and white flour. calories from these substances will clog the digestive system. just like a high performing vehicle, the more low grade fuel you feed the body, the less fuel efficient it becomes.

 

the calories question is complex. the highest degree of knowledge dictates that if you consume calories from raw foods in an unprocessed form, eliminate processed foods, and clean the digestive system, you should slowly lose weight, or at worst maintain a healthy weight without the risk of obesity–no matter how much you consume. this challenges everything you’ve heard about calories in-energy out. we are not saying you can eat 4,000 calories of raw oatmeal and not gain weight. there is a limit to how far you can challenge physics. we are saying that raw food calories matter less than processed food calories and certainly affect the body differently.

 

if you want to accomplish weight loss or weight maintenance (which is the only reason we’ve become a calorie-conscious culture), and if you want to add optimal health to your life, you need to focus on the following things in equal measure: (1) eliminate processed foods; (2) reduce animal protein intake down to a max of three days a week or eliminate it completely; (3) avoid dairy at all costs; (4) do not eat too late or too many times throughout the day; (5) combine foods properly, e.g. no starches and proteins together; (6) drink more raw green juices; and (7) create a reasonable diet plan that you can live with and stick with it. “

What is protein?
it is something you need far less of than you have been taught.

a blind pursuit of excessive protein is another big mistake in many diets. everyone thinks lots of protein is a solution, but it’s not. it’s a problem. you need far less of it than you are taught. your body can only use so much protein. whatever it can’t use is stored as a toxin or eliminated.

 

efficient and clean bodies need very little protein to regenerate normal muscle growth, generate heat, and stimulate energy. animal flesh does not provide the human physiology with critical amino acids or vitamins that are not as readily available from a plant-based source. the deficiencies that vegetarians and vegans often encounter are caused by highly acid forming diets, processed foods, bad combinations, and so on- not by the lack of protein, and certainly not by the lack of flesh!

 

flesh foods are not ideal for us. they require more exertion to digest than vegetation does. flesh foods also generate excessive amounts of uric acid that increase harmful acidity to your body. the slow transit times of these concentrated foods may cause fermentation and gas pressure that cause inflammation, the precursor to illness. the key to optimal health and a clean digestive system is eliminating processed foods and eating foods with rapid transit times.

 

you don’t need to consume flesh, eggs, and dairy to obtain protein. this is a myth. if you consume enough calories from a diet consisting of mostly vegetation, you’re probably getting enough protein. lowering protein intake can feel draining and weakening at first because you are reducing the amount of negative stimulation that flesh foods generate. this stimulation is often mistaken for good health. your body is so addicted to concentrated protein that you crave it when you are without it and feel great when you ingest it. protein needs more protein to feel good. the process of weaning off too much protein is sometimes painful. you may feel flat and deficient for several months until you adapt to a more reasonable lifestyle.

 

if you do eat flesh foods, be aware that fish are cold-blooded and are easiest to digest. red meat and chicken should come from an organic source. eggs are very hard on the liver and should be used sparingly. cow’s milk is a nasty mucus forming food. it’s way too growth inducing and irritating to the internal lining of the digestive and respiratory systems. drink more juice and eat lots of salad.
the sun is the only source of biological energy. plants are the only living things that can convert the sun’s energy into their own to grow and exist. plant matter is the only source of food for all living organisms on this planet. all living creatures derive their energy and the ability to generate heat, as well as the ability to grow their own tissue, by consuming plants. carnivores are eating flesh of a a plant-eating animal and in that way are eating plant matter in a more concentrated form. all things are made up of the same things, only in different forms.

 

the purpose of digestion is to break down large matter into smaller matter that can be absorbed in the bloodstream. this allows it to be picked up by organs to be converted into nutrients. protein in the form of flesh or dairy has to be digested and broken down into its basic form: amino acids. grass, cow’s tongue, turnips, donkey lips, tomato, lettuce, buffalo heart, pastrami, cucumber, etc. all can be broken down into vital essential amino acids to provide the protein your body needs to rebuild muscle, create heat, and generate energy. the question is: how much protein does a person your size- and with your activity level- actually need to get through the day? moreover, what is the cleanest source of protein that has the least negative impact on the body? the answer is vegetation.

WHY NO WHEY?

In short, whey protein powder as a dietary supplement is NOT a health food. You will certainly yield the result you are hoping to achieve in muscularity – but not because whey protein powder is a quality food. It’s not.


Whey may not harm the liver or kidneys, but it can exacerbate pre-existing damage. That should be enough of a deterrent.


Question: Is it the calories you’re intaking combined with heavy lifting and particular type of exercises, or is the increase protein that is making you stronger and bigger? You don’t know. It’s the combined nutrients in the calories you are intaking that increase the power and performance of an athlete. Protein is a needed nutrient in the equation, but not as much as people believe. What people gain as an unfair advantage in their super growth goals is the nitrogenous gases in the animal protein they consume. This is essentially filling people up like a balloon. (Gas pressure.)  Whey protein is a highly processed source of a nutrient from an animal we are not identical to. This is a mistake. If you open the doorway to rapid muscle growth and this type of dieting, you will have to pay back your short term gains with a high degree of inflammation and other internal problems that are in small part caused by processed protein foods.


Protein is the matter that builds the structure of cells. Cells for one make up the tissue of the body including muscle. If your goal is to gain larger muscle mass, then work out more and take in more protein. However, more muscle mass does not necessarily represent better overall health quality. Many studies show that meat and cheese cause cancer (dairy & high amounts of protein.) Here, read this study from The University of Southern California. If you read various websites about whey they skip the fact that whey protein will act as a stimulate growth faster than the detox and healing mechanisms can keep up with. If you stimulate the body constantly, you will inadvertently age yourself faster.


When you consume too much protein, you feed other types of cells including harmful cells that need protein to multiple. Protein is a lousy source of fuel for energy.


Carbohydrates are a better source of fuel for the human body. Your body turns all food material into glucose and protein converts slower than carbohydrates. This is not an optimal fuel. (Animal Proteins.)


Low carb diets are moronic because mostly all things are carbohydrates so you can’t really avoid carbs, but you can avoid processed carbs and hard to digest “nutritient-low” carbohydrate sources like pasta and breads. The source of your dietary protein is more important than how many grams you consume each day. Plant foods serve protein in the quantities you need. Never too much protein.


Many people believe that animals are the best source of protein. This is a ludicrous assumption for many reasons one being that plants feed the animals that carnivores then eat. So, carnivores are actually eating plants by way of eating another animal. The flesh they eat does not contain a mystical additives that somehow appear only in flesh. The flesh is just more concentrated. This means the flesh is will also be more resistant to digestion. Flesh requires more energy to digest. There are also waste materials in the flesh of the animal at the time of its death. Materials you now have to remove from your system after consuming.


Whey protein: whey protein is just another way of cheating the chemistry system and accelerating a result that would ordinarily not occur in nature on its own. Re-read that and absorb that. Everything in chemistry has an equal and opposite reaction. Always. You get big and “strong”, there has to be an opposite reaction occur. The results may not be worth the payback is all I am saying.


Plants are the best source of protein. They’re cleaner and easier to digest into nutrients and other vital atomic elements. When you eat the flesh of any type of animal your body has to remove the toxins that were in the animal’s flesh at the time of its death. That includes fish, chicken, snails, insects, gopher, gazelle, and grub worms. Beef has a high percentage of nitrogenius metabolytes, which is waste. Plants do not possess these types of toxins.


Repeat: Whey-protein is a highly processed isolated protein from dairy. It is inflammatory to your overall system. Whey also has high amount of the same waste material in beef. JP’s all plant based protein supplements are simple and have no chemicals and are not altered in a way that complicates how your body expects to receive this simple nutrient.


You don’t need as much protein as some people are telling you to eat. Listen to me. Many people think a high protein diet is the answer to everything. That’s crazy. Human beings do not have the same anatomy and chemistry as dogs and lions. Reduce your intake of animal protein and stop isolating nutrients unless you know what you’re doing.

What is a good source of fiber?
fiber hunting is the new protein hunting. don't be a hunter. be a gatherer.

our raw juice contains trace amounts of water soluble and insoluble fiber. you only need trace amounts of fiber on a juice fast liquid diet. you can go quite a long time without fiber on a juice fast because you’re replacing the fiber with the water in the juices.

when you’re not doing a juice fast and just using juice to supplement your diet, you want to get the fiber you need from eating whole fruits and vegetables. but make no mistake: the value of raw fresh juice is that we are removing most of the fiber which allows the nutrients in the juice to be absorbed into the bloodstream quickly. whole fruit and vegetable juices offer no resistance to digestion and require little to no energy to absorb. this we believe is their awesome power.

on a juice fast, we believe that a detox occurs because you’re leaving out all of the fiber, protein and fat. you’re flooding the body with vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals! yahoo!

the accelerated rate of absorption of nutrients and sugar into the bloodstream is beneficial in our experience as it pertains to healthy people using fresh raw juice.

a person with severe hypoglycemia or diabetes should do less fruit juices and starchy vegetables by themselves – this person will do best with greens mixed with fruit like most of our juice press formulas.

one purpose of fiber is to trigger peristalsis. this is the wave like motion that pushes dense material through the digestive system.

but this is relevant with food and not with juice because there is little to no digestion involved with drinking juice.

no two chemistries are the same and therefore there is not one answer to these question of fiber.

juicing is more detoxing than blending. scientists hate the word detox because it’s so vague and general. that is how i intend for it to be in this instance.

blending and juicing are both valuable and powerful dynamic alkalizers. both have pros and cons. juice fasting is more powerful – and for very toxic people, therefore, may be unsuitable at first. you might not want to detox a person too quickly. blending, therefore, may be more suitable for toxic people.

juice is more dynamic because of what you’re leaving out. the minerals in raw fresh vegetable juices are an antidote to toxins because of how quickly they enter into the bloodstream and offer little to no resistance to digestion. the main value of raw juice is that it neutralizes carbonic acid in the cells! bamm!

don’t let non-juice drinking, know-it-all professionals with little to no experience with nutrition get all intellectual about which is better: juicing or blending. many pros are weak and feeble and are stuck in the quicksand of traditional science.

It’s even harder to believe that “medical people” still talk about juice in a negative way! There are two causes for both of these silly circumstances: (1) utter ignorance on the science of nutrition, down to a molecular level; and (2) a total lack of experience with juicing and observing thousands of people outside of a the clinical experience who all improve their chemistry drinking raw fresh juice.

 

 

The ignorance is actually understandable because the science is very minute and the details are hard to collect and disseminate. You have to really combine book smarts with practical experience. It’s very rare that a person gathers a bit of both.

 

 

The fact for me is that I have been collecting bits of anecdotal science based on my personal dietary experiences and that of many thousands of people I have been fortunate to observe.

 

 

Juice is mostly water with a s**t-load of vitamins, minerals and other important compounds like anti-oxidants, flavonoids, and phytochemicals. Even fat. There’s ample trace amounts of fiber in juice (Juice Press juice). It’s all there. You can function at a high level of activity even on low amounts of protein depending on your overall health. If you want more protein drink more protein. It’s available in vegetable juices in good amounts. Moreover, you don’t need to add amino acids to your daily consumption to perform a cleanse. That’s utter nonsense.

 

 

I theorize that juicing allows the body to obtain a large amount of nutrients and sufficient amounts of calories to maintain and regulate normal body functions (depending on the calories and the amount of activity exerted, this would vary).

 

 

During a cleanse you don’t drink a martini with dinner. You don’t have a cigar after a five course late night meal. You don’t eat. You’re not eating late. You’re not mis-combining foods. You’re not eating processed foods. No heavy sauces. No white flour. No refined sugars. You’re not overeating. You’re just drinking fluids with all natural fruit or starchy vegetables and leafy greens. However you mix the juice, you’re avoiding all dietary mistakes. That’s how the miracle of cleansing and natural healing takes place. Through what you leave out and from what you then add in.

 

 

The sugar doesn’t matter within reason, but even within slight excess it just doesn’t matter (test it on a type 2 diabetic and if I’m wrong i’ll gladly donate my own kidney for a transplant). The sugar has the nutrients intact. It’s not heated and concentrated and made into acid.

 

 

But raw fruit or starchy vegetables have a totally different effect on your chemistry. If you have blood sugar issues and a toxic diet, you won’t do well chugging down a gallon of straight pineapple juice.

 

 

Sugar from raw fruit or not-enough-fiber is not the problem in the western fucking diet! It’s processed foods and too much protein!

 

 

For god’s sake. The science is already here. The master minds of molecular nutrition already write about this in one form or another.

 

 

On a juice fast or a combination juice and smoothie fast, or add some salad, you are not making mistakes.

 

 

For every mistake you leave out….there’s an immediate immediate overall improvement in your chemistry. You’re cleansing mistakes and thereby improving your chemistry. (god I’m so mad).

 

 

The range of reactions people have from fasting on juice are miraculously positive. 99 out of 100 people feel fabulous even on long cleanses.

 

 

With a more toxic group of people 78 out of 100 people feel fabulous. The rest of the class feels like shit because they have more to detox from. Or there are usually emotional and psychological components involved when people abstain and detox.

 

 

Detox is a natural process. The only way to help it along is to get out of its way. All of the mistakes I listed above slow down daily detox or impede it completely. I don’t have statistics at hand, but I have never heard of a crack head who cleaned up their chemistry by adding more crack. They clean up by abstaining. Then what happens? The body does its job. It cleans up the mess. If the crack head eats 97 twinkles a day after quitting crack, there can still be improvement up to the point where the twinkies disrupt the body’s natural process. Your ability to detox in your regular life diet and external toxifying circumstances is only as good as your worst dietary or lifestyle mistake.

 

 

Juice V.S. Smoothies
Finally, I’m getting to my point. Juice has less fiber (but still enough to be good for you) than a smoothie. Juice will enter into the blood stream faster with little to no mechanical digestion. Therefore, it is more effective at helping detox on a cellular level. I believe it is because of all the minerals and how they clean up the cells from things like carbonic acid. I may be wrong.

 

 

When you blend a drink and leave all the fiber in as with a smoothie it’s slower to digest and introduce in the bloods stream. I believe it’s slightly less detoxing for that matter. This is neither a positive or negative.

 

 

A more toxic person may do better on smoothies than on green juices at first.

 

 

For the lifestyle of juicing and smoothies, you want to do both: smoothies and juices.

green juice vs. fruit juice

The green juices come from vegetables, which are higher in mineral content and also contain different and often similar compounds that are beneficial to human chemistry.
Generally the greens are lower in calories and therefore provide less energy.

The fruit juices are critical but only if they are raw. The molecular structure changes if the juices are heated. Fruits have vitamins, antioxidants, phytochemicals, and other important compounds including fiber, though in smaller amounts in a juice format than in the whole fruit.

Both can easily be combined together in juice format. This is not the case in solid whole forms. In whole form some fruits and vegetables are better not combined to aid digestion.

For glycemic index concerns one could easily dilute fruit juices with water to lower the glycemic index or mix with equal parts green juices.

One of the cleansing benefits of raw juices is the rapid introduction into the bloodstream, which is contrary to what some “experts” believe. This is due to the lack of digestion required to absorb the nutrients; the body maintains total control for other processes. This can be observed in very sickly people healing. How awesome and beneficial the juices are in not interrupting their healing processes.

Like water, raw juices do not stay in the stomach long enough to have their ph balances lowered enough to effect their alkalizing power. They enter into the bloodstream and leave behind a neutral ph balance.

Raw juices, when broken down into their respective molecular composition, enable the removal of carbonic acid from the cells. Carbonic acid is the byproduct of cellular metabolism and is a critical element to remove from the cell and out through the normal waste removal system.

what do vitamins do?
if you are eating mostly processed junk, you will likely need some vitamin supplementation in your diet!

a vitamin is an organic compound required by an organism as a vital nutrient in limited amounts. an organic chemical compound (or related set of compounds) is called a vitamin when it cannot be synthesized in sufficient quantities by an organism, and must be obtained from the diet. thus, the term is conditional both on the circumstances and on the particular organism. for example, ascorbic acid (vitamin c) is a vitamin for humans, but not for most other animals, and biotin (vitamin h) and vitamin d are required in the human diet only in certain circumstances.

by convention, the term vitamin includes neither other essential nutrients, such as dietary minerals, essential fatty acids, or essential amino acids (which are needed in larger amounts than vitamins), nor the large number of other nutrients that promote health but are otherwise required less often. thirteen vitamins are universally recognized at present.

vitamins are classified by their biological and chemical activity, not their structure. thus, each “”vitamin”” refers to a number of vitamer compounds that all show the biological activity associated with a particular vitamin. such a set of chemicals is grouped under an alphabetized vitamin “”generic descriptor”” title, such as “”vitamin a””, which includes the compounds retinal, retinol, and four known carotenoids. vitamers by definition are convertible to the active form of the vitamin in the body, and are sometimes inter-convertible to one another, as well.

what is alkaline water?
the controversy is over whether drinking alkalized water has any proven benefits.

the human body works to maintain homeostasis and a ph balance of approximately 7.2 no matter what you eat, drink, or smoke or choke. acidic diets and toxins put stress on the homeostasis process. eventually your body overcomes to the stress and loses the battle. weakness, illness, disease ensue.

note the ph balance referred to is that of the blood and can only be detected through a blood test and not urine or saliva testing.

 

the blood maintains a ph balance of 7.2 or 7.3 but the cells may be acidic.
the ph of the human body fluctuates continually. the food and diet one ingests affects the body’s ph. through diet one must try to balance the body’s ph. this is easily done when one understands that certain foods are acid forming while others are alkalizing within the body. acid forming foods create a condition known as acidosis. when this happens the alkaline reserves of the body are depleted during the process to neutralize the excessive acids. this will leave the body in a less than normal condition. this weakened state will then lead to the onset of many diseases. there is a concept called autotoxication which points to this alkalinity/acidity imbalance as the root cause for all disease which allows acid to accumulate within the body. an acidic environment is ideal for many pathogens and diseases to thrive in.

the human body contains from 55% to 78% water, depending on body size. to function properly, the body requires between one and seven liters of water per day to avoid dehydration; the precise amount depends on the level of activity, temperature, humidity, and other factors. most of this is ingested through foods or beverages other than drinking straight water. it is not clear how much water intake is needed by healthy people, though most specialists agree that approximately 2 liters (6 to 7 glasses) of water daily is the minimum to maintain proper hydration. medical literature favors a lower consumption, typically 1 liter of water for an average male, excluding extra requirements due to fluid loss from exercise or warm weather.

 

for those who have healthy kidneys, it is rather difficult to drink too much water, but (especially in warm humid weather and while exercising) it is dangerous to drink too little. people can drink far more water than necessary while exercising, however, putting them at risk of water intoxication (hyperhydration), which can be fatal. the popular claim that “”a person should consume eight glasses of water per day”” seems to have no real basis in science. similar misconceptions concerning the effect of water on weight loss and constipation have also been dispelled.
an original recommendation for water intake in 1945 by the food and nutrition board of the united states national research council read: “”an ordinary standard for diverse persons is 1 milliliter for each calorie of food. most of this quantity is contained in prepared foods.”” the latest dietary reference intake report by the united states national research council in general recommended (including food sources): 3.7 liters for men and 2.7 liters of water total for women.

 

specifically, pregnant and breastfeeding women need additional fluids to stay hydrated. the institute of medicine (u.s.) recommends that, on average, men consume 3.0 liters and women 2.2 liters; pregnant women should increase intake to 2.4 liters (10 cups) and breastfeeding women should get 3 liters (12 cups), since an especially large amount of fluid is lost during nursing. also noted is that normally, about 20% of water intake comes from food, while the rest comes from drinking water and beverages (caffeinated included). water is excreted from the body in multiple forms; through urine and feces, through sweating, and by exhalation of water vapor in the breath. with physical exertion and heat exposure, water loss will increase and daily fluid needs may increase as well.

 

humans require water with few impurities. common impurities include metal salts and oxides, including copper, iron, calcium and lead,[57] and/or harmful bacteria, such as vibrio. some solutes are acceptable and even desirable for taste enhancement and to provide needed electrolytes. the single largest (by volume) freshwater resource suitable for drinking is lake baikal in siberia.

 

in physiology, the primary ions of electrolytes are sodium (na+), potassium (k+), calcium (ca2+), magnesium (mg2+), chloride (cl−), hydrogen phosphate (hpo42−), and hydrogen carbonate (hco3−). the electric charge symbols of plus (+) and minus (−) indicate that the substance is ionic in nature and has an imbalanced distribution of electrons, the result of chemical dissociation. sodium is the main electrolyte found in extracellular fluid and is involved in fluid balance and blood pressure control.

 

all known higher lifeforms require a subtle and complex electrolyte balance between the intracellular and extracellular environment. in particular, the maintenance of precise osmotic gradients of electrolytes is important. such gradients affect and regulate the hydration of the body as well as blood ph, and are critical for nerve and muscle function. various mechanisms exist in living species that keep the concentrations of different electrolytes under tight control.
both muscle tissue and neurons are considered electric tissues of the body. muscles and neurons are activated by electrolyte activity between the extracellular fluid or interstitial fluid, and intracellular fluid. electrolytes may enter or leave the cell membrane through specialized protein structures embedded in the plasma membrane called ion channels. for example, muscle contraction is dependent upon the presence of calcium (ca2+), sodium (na+), and potassium (k+). without sufficient levels of these key electrolytes, muscle weakness or severe muscle contractions may occur.

 

electrolyte balance is maintained by oral, or in emergencies, intravenous (iv) intake of electrolyte-containing substances, and is regulated by hormones, generally with the kidneys flushing out excess levels. in humans, electrolyte homeostasis is regulated by hormones such as antidiuretic hormone, aldosterone and parathyroid hormone. serious electrolyte disturbances, such as dehydration and overhydration, may lead to cardiac and neurological complications and, unless they are rapidly resolved, will result in a medical emergency.

in oral rehydration therapy, electrolyte drinks containing sodium and potassium salts replenish the body’s water and electrolyte levels after dehydration caused by exercise, excessive alcohol consumption, diaphoresis, diarrhea, vomiting, intoxication or starvation. athletes exercising in extreme conditions (for three or more hours continuously e.g. marathon or triathlon) who do not consume electrolytes risk dehydration (or hyponatremia).

 

a simple electrolyte drink can be home-made by using the correct proportions of water, sugar, salt, salt substitute for potassium, and baking soda.
electrolytes are commonly found in fruit juices, coconut water, sports drinks, milk, and many fruits and vegetables (whole or in juice form) (e.g. potatoes, avocados).

do’s and don’t’s of nutrition

we don’t need celebrity endorsed diets to get healthy.

diet programs that simply restrict calories are ludicrous and do little else to help people establish a mature relationship with food! the journey of understanding how to eat well begins with understanding exactly what has caused us so many problems all along.

 

our problems trace back to when we were kids.

our tongues are perverted from the time we are little children by tasting the delight of sweets and highly stimulating foods. it becomes quite impossible as adults to unravel this complex relationship with food and how we use it to control our moods and feelings. we all share a natural desire to feel good, and food is a powerful mechanism to that end. i don’t have a genius weight loss program that’s any smarter than ones that have been rehashed a million times before. i do know many of the easy to explain, but likely hard to adhere, principles of healthy eating. following these do’s and don’t’s are the basis for an intelligent lifestyle program. so let’s begin!

 

rule #1: for every dietary mistake you leave out, there’s an immediate and reciprocal improvement in your overall health.

 

rule#2: food is not medicine or mystical. it contains compounds and elements that enable the body to function as it was designed to, including self-healing. in other words, the body heals itself, food is merely the elemental component that fuels the processes.

 

rule #3: the key and primary goal in every diet is to eliminate processed foods. processed foods are a curse on mankind.

there are varying degrees of processed food. some are obvious, others are not so obvious, but during the span of your life avoiding them does matter.

 

rule#4: avoid highly stimulating foods that do not provide many nutrients and avoid fluids that force your liver and organs to work hard to detox from the poisons these fluids may contain. you work much harder than needed to detox with little to no nutritional value.

 

rule #5: reduce the amount of protein in your daily diet. modern man simply consumes way too much protein and it’s a source of a lot of problems, including cancer.

 

rule#6: eat more fresh, raw fruits and vegetables every day.

most of your diet should consist of raw vegetation. some cooked vegetation to go with it is no problem.

 

rule#7: drink more raw, fresh juices and smoothies every day. they have awesome power and nutritive value. in spite of any confusion, there are no downsides to juicing.

Is coffee healthy
Coffee is not the worst beverage. It's just so over used it becomes the issue.

If you are a purest trying to obtain a totally raw diet or if you are someone who reacts poorly to stimulants coffee may not be the best thing for you. You can use coffee and be fabulously healthy. Drink coffee and any caffeinated drinks in moderation.

 

We all know that coffee is a hard substance to control and quit. There are better ways to drink coffee and there are ways to make it  really bad. Adding dairy and processed sweeteners are deleterious to your health. Processed sweeteners are the worst of all evils.

 

 

Cold brewed coffee with almond milk is a pretty good beverage if the almond milk is made fresh without processed ingredients. Cold brew is less acidic than heated coffee. Almond milk is not inflammatory like dairy can be.

 

If you over do stimulants you will always feel tired.  Stimulation has a peak that must always be followed by a reciprocal crash equal to the amount of stimulation. So then you sit there in the crash and then wait to normalize if you have everything under control. Or, like most you can’t deal with the slump of a crash, so you take more of the “drug” to keep the “buzz” going, and thus the vicious cycle begins.

 

Caffeine no doubt speeds everything inside your chemistry up with no nutritive benefit that can be measured. It doesn’t give you energy that’s driven by fuel. It stimulates the organs to work hard, mostly working hard to restore balance.The adrenal and thyroid glands are cousins who work to balance the body’s metabolic functions. When you’re riding the caffeine buzz you’re dumping adrenaline and the more coffee you drink, the more you become depleted of this hormone. The more the thyroid has to step in and balance the havoc. But to be clear any type of abuse of a stimulant can cause this. So the idea here is to use coffee in limit amounts.

 

Try to skip a day or two in the week if you are a hard core coffee drinker just to rest the body from all the stimulation. See how it feels on those days off.

 

Using a juice fast to help flush your body quicker is effective. Although I believe the juice is helping the flush, it’s actually more that your body is not being interfered with during its own detox process when you are on a fast. You’re consuming fresh juices with all of their wonderful nutrients and hydration.

If you rest and can make time to listen to music, write, take a massage, and be quiet, it’s not hard to enjoy the sensitivity of your natural state of alertness without being falsely stimulated.

Suddenly, reality TV becomes dreadful noise, yelling, arguing, and just moving faster than what is natural becomes painful and senseless.

When you quit a powerful stimulant like coffee, by day three you generally hear, think, see, and feel better emotionally.

Your body has a powerful restorative mechanism. It doesn’t want to be falsely stimulated. It has trouble restoring itself to balance.

The reward for cleaning up your chemistry is to see the power you have that is blocked by stimulants, not set free.

To see things as they are is the most powerful way to see the world. To create and build from an holistic place, there is nothing more potent.

In conclusion coffee must be from USDA organic beans. Never use non organic beans. Cold brewed is better than hot brewed. Do not mix it with dairy and fake sweeteners. In the end coffee is a plant and in moderation won’t effect you.

what about dairy?

there are a few common blunders that are universally accepted as truths. the united states does not claim ownership to this broad naïveté; poor nutrition is a global pandemic. one of the first common and disastrous blunders is the consumption of processed foods. the consumption of dairy is another common blunder that has its historical roots in a time when milk was unpasteurized and therefore nutrient and enzyme-rich. furthermore, livestock was not corn-fed and was not pumped full of antibiotics and growth-inducing hormones as they are today. the naturally occurring growth hormones and casein in cattle irritate the internal system of the human body, triggering the production of mucus as a defense mechanism. mucus is a wonderful breeding ground for pathogens (bacteria). non-human milk is not biochemically adapted for the human body and is too growth promoting. in my opinion the growth-inducing effect of cow’s milk could be a factor in the proliferation of cancer cells and the growth of tumors. good luck telling your pediatrician you don’t want to feed your kid milk!

cow’s milk promotes growth beyond a human’s natural capacity to grow. this is a form of stimulation, which is irritating to the inner lining of the body. the secretion of mucus, among other side effects, is the result. dairy is a well marketed myth. sources of dairy look nothing like they did centuries, or even 60 years ago. cows are milked about 300 days a year. for much of that time, they are pregnant. the later in pregnancy a cow is, the more hormones, including estrogen, appear in her milk and are passed onto you when you consume it. it’s not good for your body. also, dairy is pasteurized, which destroys most of its nutrients and enzymes. there’s much more to learn about the adverse effects of dairy products. milk should be consumed by the infant of the animal who produced it. vegetation is a better source of all nutrients.

a new (1/20/15) human trial conducted by scientists at the university of southern california suggests that fasting for as little as three days has the potential to regenerate the entire immune system, even in the sick and elderly.

 

observing patients on a prolonged fast, researchers found that fasting triggers a regenerative response, kick-starting stem cells into producing new white blood cells,which fight infection. during the fast, the body “recycles” unneeded cells to save energy, ridding itself of “parts of the system that might be damaged or old” replacing these inefficient parts with brand new white blood cells.

 

the implications of these findings for cancer patients, in particular, were dazzling. first, a total rebuild of the immune system is monumental for cancer patients on chemotherapy suffering from damaged immune systems. remarkably, an extended fast was also found to reduce the enzyme, pika, which “is linked to aging and a hormone which increases cancer risk and tumor growth,” and “protect cancer patients against the toxic impact of chemotherapy.”

 

while more clinical trials are needed to substantiate these findings, the research here is truly groundbreaking and supportive of the pinnacle of juice press’ philosophy, that the body is a miraculous healing machine, and if we are able to get out of its way by avoiding toxic foods and habits, it will do just that.

 

water fasting is an unbelievable tool, but not something to be undertaken lightly. fasting is not starvation. fasting is the absence of the presence of food. starvation is when body starts to consume muscle mass and organs. one needs to be careful and make sure to be in the right hands under the right supervision. short term water fast of 7-10 days for most people are safe and tremendously therapeutic. for a person with cancer or suffering from certain serious illnesses, the effects can be miraculous.

 

even 2-4 days of water fast is tremendous. you increase the growth of cells. this is something the body is trying to accomplish all the time, but people’s lifestyle – overeating, eating late at night, eating processed foods – suppresses the body’s ability to do so.

 

the body will also heal itself on a juice fast. you are accomplishing almost the same thing but it will take longer. it will take you 3-5 days to go into a fasting state, when the body starts to feed on (recycle) its diseased or dead cells. at this point the body would start to generate new cells though not to the same extent as on a water fast. this healing will still occur because the real culprit in suppressing this healing process is concentrated food. leaving out processed foods is the key.

 

juice fasting is a lot safer than water fasting with very few risks. you are drinking juice which is a very powerful alkalizer and contains all needed vitamins and nutrients. you have many fewer biological healing symptoms than someone on a water fast. juice fasting is the way to go for those who are not at a supervisory clinic. a lot of people drink juice and run all over the place, which is ok because you are getting vitamins, minerals and the proteins and fat from weight loss. but, if people were able to rest, close their eyes and meditate more during a fast, the healing results would be more dramatic.

the most important nutrient your body needs is oxygen. without oxygen you wont live much longer than a couple of minutes. darbon dioxide is the biggest acid your body eliminates constantly. deep breathing calms and soothes you and is alkalizing to your chemistry. deep breathing exercises where you focus on long exhalations should be done throughout the day. unless of course you spend most of your time in a crowded subway car. there you may want to practice holding your breath. (joke)

 

ionized water
the second most important nutrient is clean water. you are made up of approxiamtely 70% water and even as little as a 3% drop in your hydration level can cause a negative reduction in your metabolic, physical, and mental functioning. most people who we tested using a live blood cell analysis procedure are slightly dehydrated. many are severely dehydrated. you should consume nearly 1/2 your weight in ounces every day. your filter organs need water to eliminate waste. raw fresh juice counts as water.

 

natural salt
a very often and misunderstood compound. just like raw natrually occuring sugar, raw salt is vital for your system to fumction. use sea salts that are not processed. salt is an alkalizing mineral to a point. then it becomes acid forming and nauseating to the stomach if taken to much. natrual sodium in things like celery are fabulous cleansing diets. dont be affraid of natural salt. be very affraid of processed salt. two totally different beasts.

 

fats and oils from plant based foods
i prefer olive oils, coconut, flax, hemp, and other plant based oils. fish are not my personal choices but are undoubtedly well desrerving of their importance for their oils. fat oils are part of the process to remove acids and among other functions create healthy cell membranes and build fat cells.

 

macro nutrients
macronutrients can refer to the chemical elements that humans consume in the largest quantities and provide energy: protein also known as amino acids, fat which include saturated fats, monounsaturated fats, polyunsaturated fats, and essential fatty acids. carbohydrates

 

this list is a categorization of the most common food components based on their macronutrients. macronutrients that support metabolism water, acrominerals, and dietary fiber. again, there are three primary macronutrients: protein, fat, and carbohydrate.[1] macronutrients are defined as a class of chemical compounds which humans consume in the largest quantities (must be above a threshold amount) and which provide humans with the bulk of energy.

 

micro nutrients
micronutrients are nutrients required by humans and other organisms throughout life in small quantities to orchestrate a range of physiological functions. for people, they include dietary trace minerals in amounts generally less than 100 milligrams/day – as opposed to macrominerals which are required in larger quantities. the microminerals or trace elements include at least iron, cobalt, chromium, copper, iodine, manganese, selenium, zinc and molybdenum. micronutrients also include vitamins, which are organic compounds required as nutrients in tiny amounts by an organism.

 

plant based foods are the best source of all nutrients for human beings. all flesh foods such as chicken, fish, pork and red meat derrive their flesh matter either directly or indrectly ( from another plant eating animal) from plant matter. so when you eat flesh foods you are essentially eating plant matter but in a more concentrated form. when you consume flesh foods you also are consuming the parasites and biological waste material in the flesh of the animal that it was trying to remove at the time of its death.

eating meat: anyone who says that you can’t have some flesh in your diet is wrong. and anyone who says you can’t be completely vegan is wrong as well. the question is what is optimal for human beings living in modern times. meat, chicken, and fish are not health foods. they are in fact foods, but should not be categorized as ideal and necessary. all flesh foods are highly stimulating and therefore make us feel temporarily energized, but this feeling is a poor indicator of the negative effects this food group may have on our bodies. popular diets that recommend the daily intake of flesh-based foods, such as the paleolithic (caveman) diet, or diets that include large amounts of eggs and dairy, are very taxing on the liver. these inflammatory foods irritate the body, may cause an increase in the secretion of mucus, and provide minimal amounts of absorbable protein. flesh foods accelerate your aging process because your body works much harder to break flesh matter into a nutritious form.

flesh eating tips: eat wild fish–not farm raised. avoid shell fish. eat flesh foods no more than three times a week, every other day at the max. avoid combining any starchy foods with flesh foods. avoid pork. eat fresh road kill because it is free from hormones and antibiotics. grub worms and live beetles are a great source of entertainment at dinner parties. harpooning a nursing whale is evil. most dolphins hate tuna nets. sharpen your arrow tips before taking down big game. when eating packaged meats, eat the package and throw away the meat! raw meat is loaded with parasites. no judgments. my aunt sophie was a big meat eater and a chain smoker. she lived 94 quality years, mostly on her sofa.

here’s what we’re trying to tell you–you do not need large quantities of any kind of protein to maintain strength, rebuild muscle, or create heat. the protein derived from a plant-based diet is not only sufficient, it’s also cleaner. a common misconception, which has its origin in the mistakes that new vegetarians or vegans conclude from their experience, is that they must be doing it wrong because they are often times left feeling weak, flat, or cold. the transition from a high protein diet to a low protein diet with little or no flesh foods requires an intense detox period. you will not feel falsely energized during this period the way you would eating a burger and fries.

acidity: eating and drinking acid-forming foods and liquids cannot lower your ph balance; all it does is increase the strain of the body’s fight to maintain homeostasis. eventually you’ll succumb to the battle and fall ill. true ph levels must be tested from the blood and not the saliva or urine. when the body’s pathway to recovery is closed or impaired beyond its natural healing ability, as in the case with illnesses such as type 1 diabetes, pancreatic cancer, and certain blood cancers, it needs healing influence from outside forces. this is where the miracles of modern medicine often prolong life where it would otherwise be lost. there are brilliant doctors who have a wide range of knowledge and apply medicine and surgery only when needed. prevention is where we need to place our focus. the key to this is inarguably lifestyle and diet. rule #1: it’s what you leave out of your diet that allows you to be in optimal health. the longer you practice and perfect your diet and your lifestyle choices, the closer to optimal health you become.

 

drink more juice: food and proper nutrition are not the panacea. there are no guarantees. hereditary factors and environmental factors do play a part in our health condition. stack the odds in your favor through abstaining from drugs, alcohol, processed foods, and dairy. regular colonics, plenty of green juices, and eating a predominantly raw food diet changes the game and the player! start with one juice a day with salads and raw foods. build up to juice only. soon you’ll be doing ten day juice cleanses with relative ease! philosophy: a clean engine running on super clean fuel will get better gas mileage, more bang for the buck! a dirty engine running on dirty fuel will get less mileage on the same comparative fuel. it will run poorly and break down more frequently. this metaphor parallels the human body. our juice cleanse provides essential vitamins, minerals, and enzymes that nourish our system.

 

more juice please: we believe that raw juices are the best fuel for our body. its consumption will make us a more biologically efficient machine and we’ll need less calories to get better nutrition. introducing raw juices to our diet as an everyday habit is a fabulous antidote to the toxins we encounter. green juices neutralize acids and all raw juices make it easier to maintain blood alkalization. the main benefit of drinking raw juice is that if it helps us skip one or more crappy meals a day, we’re 1000 times better off! obviously, we recommend drinking as much juice as possible each and every day. drinking juice and maintaining a sensible diet that excludes processed food is a step in the right direction towards optimal health.

 

calories: we feel it’s a catastrophic blunder to blindly pursue calorie counting. if your diet consists of mostly processed foods and you have a weight problem, your primary dietary goal should be the restriction of calories. however, no matter what you do to reduce calories, you cannot achieve optimal health unless there is a shift in the focus. the primary focus should be the restriction of processed foods. you cannot cause obesity and illness in a healthy and clean body that is consuming a diet consisting of primarily vegetation in the form of fruits, vegetables, nuts, sprouts, and seeds.

 

“leave it out”: on a raw juice fast, you’re leaving out mistakes of all kinds. you’re also allowing the entire digestive system to rest. vital force is the energy supply that is left over after all of the energy required for your daily activities, including the energy required to digest food, has been used. when you have more energy than needed to carry out your daily activities, and are a biologically cleaner organism, which occurs during a juice cleanse, you acquire this energy reserve that we call vital force. your vital forces works to heal the body. the electrical forces found in raw juice stimulate your body’s electrical forces. vital force is an enhancement to the immune system. a juice cleanse accelerates the pathway to your vital forces.

diversity of produce on a juice fast is key, as you are absorbing the density of superb nutrition. combined with abstinence from highly processed foods, cooked foods (which become slightly toxic and are less nutritious), and/or flesh foods that are harder to digest, you set yourself in motion toward a variety of internal cleansing processes. the longer you maintain a juice cleanse, the deeper the cleanse goes. another benefit of drinking raw juice is that it excludes fiber! this also allows the digestive system a chance to rest. juice has only trace amounts of fiber, so the nutrition enters the blood stream rapidly and becomes absorbed for use throughout the entire body. this rapid absorption is what makes juice a powerful alkalizer. our cleanse is a cell rejuvenating, detoxifying, alkalizing, and well-balanced, complete nutritional plan. during a cleanse, endogenous toxins in the cells are released into the blood stream. the toxins then move through to the liver, and are excreted through normal waste functions. the longer the cleanse, the more waste gasses throughout the body can escape.

never begin the day with coffee or tea as the first thing you consume. (you pervert the tongue and will crave acidic foods and corrupt stimulators for the rest of that day.)

 

begin the day with fresh clean drinking water. consume 1 serving of fresh water, plump fruits, or raw fresh juices and smoothies.

 

if you must – wait 2 hours after waking to begin your regimen of coffees or teas.

 

try to flip your customary social meals to the daytime when you’re active and eliminate late night eating (past 6 pm).

 

drink fresh raw juices at the later hours and follow your natural circadian rhythm where late night digestion may not be active.

No Hype: Is Kale Safe?

in response to an article i read earlier today about kale being questionably healthy, i wanted to respond with some info on the subject. once again – there is unnecessary confusion created around food.


kale and thyroid: kale is goitrogenic. goitrogens are substances that suppress the function of the thyroid gland by interfering with iodine uptake. the body needs iodine to make thyroid hormones. when the body tries to compensate and produce more hormones, this can cause an enlargement of the thyroid, i.e. a goiter. there was study in rats done where they fed them goitrogenic vegetables (e.g. kale, spinach, and broccoli) and it affected their thyroid. traditional science is funded by people with a vested interest in the outcome of studies. i don’t trust some of the ridiculous things that are concluded by scientists who change their minds as often as the science around them changes.


in the context of a healthy diet and thyroid, highly goitrogenic vegetables do not cause problems. if they did, you’d also have to reduce or eliminate 50 other foods.


most people get enough iodine from food and drinks. if you get adequate amounts of iodine, eating reasonable amounts of goitrogenic food is not a concern.


cooking partially inactivates the goitrogens (except in the cases of soy and millet). go back to a full spectrum diet if you feel like raw vegetables are causing a problem, cook kale and spinach. don’t be afraid of vegetables, folks.


certain raw foods have been identified as lightly goitrogenic. these foods include:
cassava and cabbage, due to both foods containing thiocyanate
soybeans and soybean products such as tofu, soybean oil, soy flour, soy lecithin (beyond the goitrogenic properties, soy also contains genistein, which has been implicated as interfering with thyroid function in rats)

flax seed (flax seed contains cyanide, which transforms into thiocyanate inside the body and can lead to hypothyroid syndrome.)

despite generally being a stimulant, caffeine acts on thyroid function as a suppressant. some studies on rats suggest that excess caffeine, in conjunction with a lack of iodine, may promote the formation of thyroid cancers.

No Hype: Is a raw food diet good for everyone?
a 100% raw diet might be difficult for some to maintain, but don't be all or nothing. iincorporating more, raw, plant-based foods into one's diet and cutting back on stimulating flesh and processed foods will cause a reciprocal improvement in one's chemistry.

the commitment to become 100% raw is a serious one insofar as the intense lifestyle change it requires. the first question commonly asked is what does a raw food diet consist of? a raw food diet consists of vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and sprouts. we do not espouse eating raw meat of any kind.


 

although a raw plant-based diet can, by strict scientific definition, be proven as biologically perfect nutrition for the human body, the path to its return is difficult and often physically painful. most people do not have the will power to achieve this. a vegan lifestyle is often considered extreme, but by a raw foodist’s standards, the vegan lifestyle is decadent.


the journey to a higher consciousness diet involves a relational change with one’s ingrained eating habits and the surrender of a lifelong series of food addictions. flesh and dairy food are very stimulating and make us feel good short term. they are hard to give up. our primary addiction is to feeling good and it takes a long time to wean oneself from the short term addiction of foods and move into the long term addiction to feeling healthy and clean.


the beginner should start with an adjustment to at least a 60% raw diet and 40% correctly cooked foods. more juices should be consumed. juice requires almost no digestion and one can go for very long periods of time on juice alone. combine food properly. humans can function very well on a diet of 80% raw and 20% cooked food. the detoxing and sustaining result would be similar but slower than if one is 100% raw. 80/20 is a daily intake dynamic, not eating raw for a week and then having a sunday pig-out on cooked foods.


eating a diet that is 75-80% raw and 20-25% cooked is an intermediate path. you can even do very well having some flesh-based foods, if you set limits. the reason for this is that the body has a margin of error. the trick to optimal health is to plan for the error by creating parameters to which your body will adapt, then to stick to your parameters of error. eating meat three times per week, every other day at maximum, is a mistake your body will adapt to and most people will do quite well on this plan. make sure you do not combine flesh with starchy carbs of any kind, e.g. potatoes, rice, bread, and so on. always eat flesh foods with a big serving of leafy greens to help with digestion. furthermore, there are some high quality digestive enzyme supplements one might consider using when eating hard to digest foods.

cow milk and cow cheese should be avoided at all costs. sorry.


a raw food diet is ideal for those living in warm climates. however, a 100% raw food diet can be maintained very successfully in a cold environment if you are willing to endure feeling colder and wearing more layers of clothing.


there are risks associated with being 90% or 100% raw for a long period. over time, the body totally detoxes from poor lifestyle habits. after years of being totally raw, a person cannot simply jump in and out of this lifestyle without causing complications to their health.


it is common sense that introducing raw food into your diet – either 100%, which is very advanced nutrition, or at least 80%, which is an intermediate raw life style, will result in optimal health conditions because of what we are leaving out, primarily processed foods.


the naysayers of a raw food diet often cite weak arguments for cooked foods and animal flesh. the basis for their arguments against a plant-based diet is not founded in biology, anatomy, or chemistry. it’s not founded in science at all. generally, people’s opinions about nutrition are usually formed on a combination of misstated facts, anecdotal experiments, and observations of a small group of people.


there is no scientific justification for the consumption of animal flesh. its basis is rooted in either tradition or necessity. all flesh foods have their origin from plants. the sun is the source of all energy in the organic world. plants are the only life form that can convert the sun’s energy into usable energy. all organic life feeds off plant life. when you eat the flesh of a plant eater, you are eating plants second-hand. in flesh, nourishment is in a concentrated form that also brings along with it the toxins and waste gases that were in the flesh of the animal at the time of its death. the fact is that animal flesh is nothing more than concentrated protein and other larger molecules originally derived from vegetation; the consumption of it has injurious effects on human physiology.


the most respected nutrition books on the planet all say similar things and the majority of the knowledge and sciences are correct, but in certain areas they are dead wrong. this has caused much confusion and many problems within our population, generation after generation. the highest quality and the cleanest diet for humans has been muddled by health practitioners who do not correctly connect the dots. the culture of nonsense and profiteering in food service industries has made the simplest concepts impossible to navigate. the fact is, human beings do not need even one ounce of flesh to survive. the nutrients, protein, carbohydrates, fats, h20, and salts can all be derived from a plant-based diet combined with supplements.


a decision about a lifestyle choice has to be made; a structure, one with which you can live, has to be set in your diet. stay within that structure and avoid sliding in and out of it. this is how optimum health is maintained.

it’s not really possible! what i’ve observed is a lot of young powerful athletes at the beginning of a career path depending on massive loads of protein and calories to develop and maintain muscle and weight. they eat “performance” bars, drink powdered synthetic protein shakes, take engineered supplements, and so on. the consequences of these diets range from depression, aggression, susceptibility to injury, decrease sexual performance, frequent illness, irritability, slower recovery times, serious disease, and a shorter career than what should be possible! athletes that require an unnatural physique are depending on the toxicity of their diet to reach their goals. there’s little any one can do to change someone’s mind set if they are on this trajectory. to make a dramatic lifestyle change some people may need motivation such as illness or injury. hopefully, common sense is a better motivator than desperation. red bull, energy bars, protein shakes, garbage, garbage, and more garbage are all disastrous. people don’t realize the mistakes they are making by using this stuff.

miraculously, the body is so tough that you can can demonstrate super human strength and performance even on a red bull and whey protein diet. these results are very deceptive and unpredictable from person to person. there are no long term positive results of this type of diet. large muscle mass does not mean strength or performance. a smaller person may not be able to bench press 500 lbs. however, with a cleaner diet he likely can do 30+ reps at 300 lbs. certainly a more useful athletic performance goal. an athlete who need to maintain bulk should maintain a diet including 50% raw food, animal protein from a clean source, and avoid dairy and processed foods at all costs. do not eat meals late at night, do not over eat and put strain on your digestive system. these are mistakes that everyone not just the athlete should avoid. athletes should drink more green juices and superfood smoothies. avoid soy and whey protein. use a high quality hemp based protein. alcohol is the breaker! keep the bowels clean, do colonics, and rest. systemic anti-inflammatory enzyme supplements are key!

with all due respect, the fda and the surgeon general will have served the american public’s health to perfection when they force food corporations to disclose certain scientific facts regarding the adverse health effects of processed foods in general. these governmental organizations must at some point in the future require warning labels on foods that disruptive to the endocrine system of the human body.

 

for example: 1. “warning, all processed foods seriously affect human health, weaken the immune system and are eventually responsible for many common diseases plaguing our country today.” (or) 2. “this product contains dairy derived from a cow. cow’s milk stimulates growth in the calf to build a body weight from 60 lbs up to 2,000 lbs in 12 months. cow’s milk is highly inflammatory to the human body and may cause the increased secretion of mucus as systemic defense. inflammation is the precursor to many diseases. increased mucus is a wonderful breeding ground for bacteria. enjoy!”

 

the fda and the surgeon general have done a wonderful job for years making food consciousness higher and higher. i believe both organizations are only a few years from a food renaissance in where processed foods of all types will be more and more demonized.

 

the science of nutrition today is a maze of partial truths established in my opinion by individuals with vast knowledge in abstract sciences. sciences that are relative to the best available knowledge at the time. we are a culture obsessed with calories. and we have been conditioned to hunt for protein with zero knowledge of what protein is, what the best sources are, and what the harmful effects are of taking in too much.

 

with the technologies available today we could feed all of the world nourishing foods with a lot less effort than we are taught to believe. the businesses of today do not stand to profit from this science. we are eating too many grains and processed foods that make us sick and require us to eat far more calories than needed to survive.

 

 

profits are a driving force behind the mass confusion of food and simple nourishment. there are things that our protective governmental agencies will simple never say. industries hide behind the “bad guy science” (in other words the science that simple leaves out the truth) and we the good guys are simply called quacks.

 

i’m not a quack. i promote vegetables and fruit. i don’t push vitamins or energy healing crystals. i practice what i preach. i’m not against medicine. i’m also very excited about new sciences. i believe that we have more knowledge today than ever before and used correctly we will usher in the new era of health. the foundation of my teachings is that people need to leave out all processed foods. the next steps to be taken are easy.

Straight and to the point: The best source of energy is fruit. 100% factoid of molecular science. It burns the cleanest and requires the least amount of energy to absorb. This is efficiency. Dear Dad

This is a letter I wrote to my father after he asked me to help him with his diet. He started a modified version of my suggestion and left animal protein in his diet and lost 15 lbs. in the first two weeks. He stopped eating late at night…a huge triumph. (written October 2016) ( father is 76 at the time of this writing) Meat and Dairy are dangerous according to me and every other scientist who understands chemistry read more.

 

Dear Dad:

 

I’m very glad that you asked for help to be put on some type of food plan because it’s taken you a very long time to reach a bottom and to have so many doctors and a variety of nutrition people fail you.

 

The program that I’m recommending is not a diet, so to speak. Although the literal terminology is a diet it’s more of a lifestyle plan which brings great consciousness along with it, so it’s more than a diet. Unfortunately, there is no magic spell that can be cast on you. You have to work at this slowly and not give up.

 

Lesson number one is a lesson of encouragement because often times you might feel too far gone or too far down the path to be found or recover – here is a simple rule of science: you do not have to have a perfectly fit body to be in perfect health you have to live according to the natural law of your individual chemistry; this is where your body is optimal.

 

Your body is ready today to forgive you for a lifetime of mistakes. This is not philosophy this is scientific fact. It sounds like this: for every mistake you leave out right now your body will have an immediate reciprocal improvement right now.

 

You don’t have to be uber disciplined for two years to see an epic and dramatic results in your chemistry. You just have to be disciplined right now and begin by leaving out mistakes.

 

I’m going to try to walk you through the journey as best as I can explain in this format because you have a scientific mind and you respond well to intellectual things. The portion of this that is emotional I don’t think I can help you with. You’re going to have to do exercises on your own to prevent yourself from overheating or worse eating bad food, or even worse over eating and over eating bad food.

 
The first idea to understand which comes directly from the great books that the Endocrinologists will attest to is that the only way to prevent disease is to change dietary and lifestyle patterns. Hereditary mutation is only a small factor and in your case it is not a factor at all. If you had a hereditary predisposition for a mutation there’s no guarantee that lifestyle changes would prevent this but it is most certain that with such a predisposition for a mutation and without a lifestyle change you sealed your fate.

 

By changing your habits, you will sleep better —have better moods –feel better and your body shape and strength will improve—increase your self-esteem –more than likely restore your libido and health Drive and sex drive—and on the abstract level you’ll begin to melt away the soupiness that lives inside and disconnects you from Universal spiritual vibrations that bring a state of euphoria in the conscious moment.

 

You cannot read the things that I’m saying here in medical journals or in books written by Deepak Chopra or Kim kardashian. Maybe deepak I haven’t read him lately.

 

This is my knowledge that I am passing on to you, father because you asked for it.

 

I’ve spent three decades of my life working hard to come close to this. I have much more to learn and much more detoxing to do on myself but everything I am sharing with you I am living and I have experience and I can tell you the changes have taken place in my chemistry.

 

I have posted many things on this social media site about cancer, sugar from fruit and too much protein—-but let’s start from the beginning.

 

Anatomically and physiologically you are an animal designed to consume, absorb and flourish off of carbohydrates not protein.

 

You are not a carnivore.

 

The human body is such a heroic adaptive machine that you can feed it virtually anything and it will derive nutrients and work well for you but certainly not with the optimal results that are possible. Never optimally.

 

You can actually eat a small amount of animal protein from a clean source and still be incredibly healthy but this is not the case when you pursue animal protein to the end of earth because it is like a cup of coffee, it stimulates because of the naturally occurring compounds of the toxic material that exists in the flesh of all animals at the time of death.

 

The flesh of an animal is made from plants so if you eat an animal you are only eating plants in a concentrated form. Except with plants you’re not getting the toxic material in the flesh of the animal at the time of death. Plants are a cleaner source of fuel; they are not as concentrated and therefore not as stimulating.

 

People are so stimulated by spices, a variety of drugs, too much animal protein, processed food and other stimulating beverages that they cannot feel the damage that they’re doing to themselves.

 

But yet something is always missing for us when we live this lifestyle.

 

The first lifestyle pattern change you must create is the matter not to eat solid food past 7:30 PM no matter what.

 

If you stop eating by 7:30 PM in the first year you will probably feel hungry between that time and the time you go to bed; you may even wake up late at night and want to go to the refrigerator and feed this is part of the detox. The benefit of stopping eating by this time is that you give your body a longer period of time to clean up your overall chemistry versus having to digest food also during the night.

 

In addition to that, as your body’s metabolism naturally slows down at night, which is something you should never interfere with, if you have too much food in your stomach or in some cases any food at all, you will have a hard time digesting it which will result in a former fermentation, which will then result in intercellular gases getting into the bloodstream and likely causing inflammation on a cellular level.

 

It is beyond the scope of what I can help you with to explain to you why these gases cause inflammation. It is something that is common knowledge in medicine so you can easily cross reference what I’m saying to find facts to support what I’m talking about.

 

Inflammation is the precursor to 80 or 90% of the diseases you will encounter as you age.

 

Pain and suffering are likely the result of inflammation on a cellular level or tissue level and sewing.

 

You are under enormous pressure for the dietary mistakes you have made throughout your lifetime and it is likely that you are a very gassy person. Your body is lucky that you are able to force the air out of your system even though there are not enough exits to escape —you can’t get rid of all the off gases and they are causing inflammation, which is now manifesting itself if you feeling pain in your joints and muscles. Your vision begins to go, your memory, your moods, sleep snoring. The litany of suffering is just so unbelievable. You are not aging chronologically – you are aging biologically.

 

So by stopping eating late at night you’re giving your body the space needs to clean up your chemistry. Most doctors do not know this or understand it and there’s no double-blind study to prove what I’m saying so they would dismiss it as being hocus-pocus. These types of doctors are the ones who have extraordinarily limited amount of knowledge on aspects of nutrition and how it affects chemistry because they do not experiment on themselves and they do not follow a lifestyle that leads to help themselves and they do not experiment with their patients.

 

But certainly there are many doctors of science that have incredible knowledge of physiology anatomy and chemistry biology etc. etc. that can verify the simple truth I’m speaking of.

 

I spent a lot of time delving into this one lifestyle change because it has made such a significant change in my overall chemistry when I thought I couldn’t improve more or go deeper more. When I made this lifestyle change I saw a dramatic positive improvement.

 

Go to bed hungry on an empty stomach with no solid food after 7:30. The only thing that you could have are fresh made green juices and a little bit of fruit after 7:30 to help you feel hydrated and provide you with some nutrients. Drink plenty of water.

 

The next dietary patterns were going to change is what you eat in the morning. The nonsense that you were eating is not actually making you feel good and you were creating a mess. You’re eating dead foods that have very little powerful enzymes. The foods that you describe to me you are eating are extremely low vibration. Stuffing yourself with protein for stimulation, which is loaded with saturated fats (saturated fats that you’re cooking in saturated fats, a double), and foods that are cursed because they are processed and they do not mimic naturally occurring foods in nature and therefore they are toxic. Accept this as being truth, you have nothing to lose.

 

Cereals and eggs and muffins are nothing more than empty calories; calories that are making you larger and cranky and keeping you hungry and addicted.

 

Please start the morning with making clean food smoothies from vegetables and fruits and later on we can sit and talk about the various vegan Superfoods and some of their positive effects. Pay less attention to so called Superfoods because they are confusing and they are a distraction from what you actually need. What you need is to leave out the steaks and allow your body to do what it was naturally designed to do: Heal.

 

If you are not into making smoothies, then just eat raw fresh 100% organic water plum fruit. Do not worry about the sugar content, you need the nutrients and your body will readily use the sugar but it does not mean you should eat 16 bananas, you are not a monkey or a Gorilla.

 

Cantaloupe in the morning, eaten by itself it’s a great starter. Half an hour later, if you want, you can eat a small handful of almonds. If you are terribly concerned about the glycemic index, which is just terrible stupidity, then include two or three stocks of celery to average the glycemic index over the celery and the fruit.

 

I don’t care about calories, at this point we just want to eliminate the major dietary mistake of processed food.

 

It wouldn’t make a difference to me if you ate two whole cantaloupes, you’re still going to feel better and I guarantee you your blood sugar will not be a problem.

 

As you adopt these new dietary patterns in the morning you will likely feel hungry fast because you are used to eating protein in the morning and protein creates incredible craving for more protein.

 

Do not listen to the mistakes that medical people are telling you you need protein on a constant basis. If you want that then please make sure you’ve completed your Will and that I am left it, because it will destroy you.

 

When you feel hungry drink green juice, it is an antidote to the toxins that are demanding more toxins. I can tell you this as an incredible truth that I have witnessed on my own body over many years of practice and I have seen them altar and change many peoples chemistries and I’ve never seen it fail

 
For lunch eat a large leafy green salad without protein or a green smoothie and some other type of green juice. If you’re desperate for protein then do a clean protein a maximum of three days a week so the mistake is something your body can keep up with. You don’t need protein every single day you’re also getting a great deal of observable protein from the plants.

 

Once again if you adopt this life now you can consume far greater calories than you can with the standard Western diet and still see dramatic improvements.

 

Living with hunger is a terrifying experience to many people because what it is associated too deep within their psyche, so I cannot help you with the feelings of me. When you feel the hunger pangs, we are different, in that I condition my mind to live with hunger for far greater than was necessary when I was much younger for unhealthy reasons.

 

Today because it cleaned up a great deal of my chemistry I simply do not feel hungry and because of Juice Press I’ve had constant access to the foods that nourish me and make me feel good about myself and my body.

 

If you live far away from fresh raw smoothie and juice bars and make organic salads and have integrity the way Juice Press does, then you will have to do a lot of the things at home.

 

Your midday meal is now approaching the hours between dinner and shut off at 7:30 PM. Depending on how active you are and whether not you do hard workouts at the gym will determine whether or not you’re going to consume more fruit sugar.

 

Never restrict your fruit intake sugar in the beginning when you’re detoxing if it helps you stay away from processed foods and processed sugar. Use the naturally occurring sugar in the juices and the solid fruit to help wean you off of processed food.

 

I’m not expecting you to go vegan although I could show you very in-depth science and how adopting a vegan lifestyle will prolong your life from where you are at right now which is that your body’s natural path way to recovery is open and you are not debilitated nor incapacitated by degenerative diseases that have taken a foothold and will not release you.

 

No matter what choice you make, or how much animal protein you have in any form, 100% you must abstain from dairy, dairy of any kind. In addition to these golden rules it is imperative that you force yourself to drink pure, clean drinking water and exercise to 7° every day of the week.

 

You do not have to exercise strenuously more than say one hour, four days a week, but the other three days you should be doing something that involves movement and light difficulty, whether that is climbing up the stairs on a given day or going for long walks, waking up and doing push-ups and sit ups, dips and squats, there should be something every day that keeps your body in motion. A body in motion builds a very strong immune system.

 

There are a lot of things that are settled inside this, giving you a lot of work for you to do over the next few months. I could keep going and giving you more tips. Some of the lifestyle tips that will help you through this process is to take good care of yourself, read books that I assigned to you, take massages frequently going to the steam room, shower frequently, try to sleep and it is never too late in your life to pray.

 

If you have nothing or no one to pray to set up an altar in your house with hundred dollar bills and pray to the money, but ask the money for liberation from your diet. Pray, if you can, pray in the dark and do deep breathing exercises for five minutes. Rise a deep breath through your nose and listen to the sound of your inhalation and your exhalation. Sit in the dark and play music with tribal drum beat sounds like the heartbeat of your mother.
Think about the beauty of being alive and being able to breathe in the lessons that you’ve been able to learn and the beautiful attachment that you have to your body into this planet and a deep desire to be present as long as you possibly can.
