how long should i cleanse for 2
by marcus antebi - founder and ceo
no two chemistries are ever in the same place at the same time. everyone is different and everyone has different goals and needs. i've watched first hand many first time cleansers do 30+ days, 40+ days, and I ve watched several people accomplish 60+ days with correct supervision.
optimally fresh when not frozen
cold pressed juices are optimally fresh when not frozen and last only 2 days from the moment we bottle the juice. disclaimers the trend of 3 and 5 days cleanses have there origin in companies that were shipping juice that lasts only 2 or 3 days. doing 10 to 15 day cleanse 1 or 2 times a year will benefit mostly anyone.
contrary to a handful of misinformed food “non-experts”, you do not need that much fiber during a juice cleanse. part of the effectiveness of a cleanse is that you are leaving fiber out, thereby allowing the digestive system to rest. furthermore, there is little to digest when drinking juice. juice enters into the blood within 10 minutes after being consumed. there is trace amounts of fiber in juice.
you also get your protein needs from drinking raw fresh juices. your body has amino acid stores for one, so you do not enter a deficit in a short term cleanse. furthermore, the protein misconception is the topic of a long essay. you simply do not need as much protein on a clean and biologically pristine diet. your body becomes far more efficient with the intake of lower amounts of calories and protein on a juice cleanse.
please read our disclaimers page before attempting a juice fast. a one day cleanse is a starting point for anyone interested in the cleansing through juice process. a duration of six to ten days is more effective for first timers. more and more we are getting first timers that have goals of fifteen to thirty days. the practice of juice fasting is not extreme on the body. au contraire! it’s the practice of eating processed crap and bad food combinations that is extreme on the body.
the longer you cleanse on juice the more your body can release toxins on a cellular level. start with four days if you are not sure what you can handle. once you are in it and see how easy it is to go without food, increase to longer and longer durations. any naysayers of raw organic juice and juice fasting are just dead wrong and are regurgitating nonsense from bad sources.
